Cult of the Lamb casts players in the role of a possessed lamb saved from annihilation by an ominous stranger and must repay their debt by building a loyal following in his name. Start your own cult in a land of false prophets, venturing out into diverse and mysterious regions to build a loyal community of woodland worshippers and spread your Word to become the one true cult.

When Doom and Animal Crossing came out at the same time and @ZackScottGames played both regularly, I thought about a combination of them, where you build a community but also can go out and slaughter demons, with each giving you stuff you can use in the other. I guess I wasn't the only one who had that thought.

Fun fact: if you defeat the boss of the region your playing you can break their devotion statues and when broken an portal will appear and you can basically farm boss crates or just fight the last boss again which is neat aswell

Well, Leshy was the initial Game Master of Inscryption, but he has his roots in a Slavic folklore/ fairy creature of the forests called a Leshy, which means " _He of the Forest_ " in Russian (alternate etymologies: Borovoi, _He of the Pine Barrens_ ; Gayevoi, _He of the Grove_ ; Serbo-Croatian Lešak; Polish Leszy or Leśnik; Ukrainian Lesovik; Belarusian Lesun; Latvian Mežainis, which means " _Forester_ "; and Lithuanian Miško velnias, which means " _Forest Devil_ ", among a slew of other epithets and nicknames). The fact that the guardian of the Darkwoods section of the game is named Leshy is not _just_ a reference to a previous game in their catalogue; it is a reference to a much older character that appears in the folk beliefs and stories of a part of the world most in the West haven't heard of.
