WALTER always said, it was his intention to get out of there as fast as he can. He dislikes multimen-matches (apart from Tag Team) because in his opinion, it gaves the Wrestlers not enough room and time to present himself in the best possible way.
@HoV3263 жыл бұрын
I was shocked that WALTER got beaten so quickly. I mean I get he got hit with Drew's claymore, but he looked like a chump. This guy was a monster and one of the most dominant champions in the modern era and he went out so quickly.
@kaitlyngarner7403 жыл бұрын
I heard that he didn't want to be in the match too long but if that was the case, there are better ways to do it. Like big show got eliminated first from the 5 on 5 in 2001 after eating 3 separate finishers one after the other and that made sense

Growing up, I loved the survivor series and the traditional matches. The late 80s and early 90s were my golden years as a kid and I enjoyed Survivor series and rumble more than wrestlemania because wrestlemania was just normal matches. survivor series and rumble were different and more interesting. The traditional survivor series matches were fun and I liked the team names, connections, and rivalries. If taken more seriously and with consequences, I still believe survivor series can be fun again! Raw Vs smackdown and champion Vs champion just doesn't do it for me.

The last good Survivor Series match was when they did the NXT invasion. And before that, definitely has to be 2014. Cena vs Authority was just amazing from start to finish.

Talking of Orton's success at Survivor Series, an honourable mention should go to his elimination of HBK to end the Team Austin vs. Team Bischoff match. It was a great bout capped off with an emotional and, yes, shocking win for Easy E's side.

the ONLY build we got to see for SS was the Bloodline/New Day, other than that, No Raw or SD feud
@nikhilbhavani9813 жыл бұрын
I’d say it was only Lynch vs Flair, since it felt like the Bloodline-New day feud was built as less Champion vs Champion, and more Champion vs King’s Champion. Still more build than most of the other matches, but this entire thing is a disappointment.

I know walter being eliminated early on was pretty dumb considering his dominance at the time. But i think he wanted to get eliminated fast cause he didn’t like tag team matches and especially the big ones like this because it didn’t show old school wrestling which Walter is used to do , so i think he requested to be eliminated fast to get it over with

Felt so bad for Lana in that moment. She was legitimately trying her best to improve and WWE was just fucking with her. If all that had been booked better, and the payoff had been ion front of an audience, Lana probably would have gotten some cheers. Mostly from people pissed about what WWE did to Rusev/Miro. But it was shit. Didn't feel earned like it should have. Glad she's out of there and in better mental health.

Lana winning by doing nothing was the most clever thing they've done in a Survivor Series match in a long time. Made sense for the character, worked well for the feud she was in and fit well amongst the anything can happen idea. No one saw it coming, it was memorable, silly, but memorable. Not everything has to be serious and elevating, sometime you can just have things be enjoyable fun.

I'm surprised Hogan's elimination at the 87 Survivor Series wasn't on the list. For starters, it's a Hogan (screwy finish and all) loss. That left Bam Bam Bigelow by himself vs. Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy and the One Man Gang. Bam Bam was easily the MVP of the match eliminating Bundy and Gang before Andre got the W. Of course it being Hogan, he had to come out at the end to close out the show. Jesse Ventura was spot on with his commentary as Hogan lost and him attacking Andre after the match was over showed him to be the sore loser babyface he always was. That's Hogan's only loss in a traditional survivor series match. Shame it didn't happen more often.
@petarpetrov36833 жыл бұрын
Oooh you're right i forgot about it. At that time it had been a big shock Hogan to lose no matter how especially in the middle of a match in which he participate. One of the reasons to like this match so much is the desbelief of the crowd after that.

How about Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon surviving against Tag Team Champions Owen Hart and British Bulldog ? How about the match with no survivors Savio Vega , Yokozuna , Flash Funk and Superfly Snuka against Vader , Farooq , Fake Razor and Fake Diesel . Vega and Razor were pinned early but everyone else was disqualified ? How about the first time an entire team survived Rick Martel , Warlord , Paul Roma and Hercules their opponents were Jake Roberts , Superfly Snuka , Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty ?
