As controversial as those Saudi shows have been for the past few years, they really went all in this year. Edge vs Seth was amazing, women's match was great. Roman & Brock was great. Even the Goldberg & Bobby rematch was very good. One of Goldberg's best recent matches.

I have absolutely hated the Saudi shows for bribing legends into bad, life-threatening matches. However, Crown Jewel this year was great and I hope WWE uses it as an example of how structure future Saudi shows.

I think the reason why Crown Jewel last year was so good is because it didn’t feel like just a filler show to get to the next big ppv and it wasn’t flooded with a dozen of old hall of famers/legends and actually had decent build up to the event and steller matches of course

I tell you they need to bring some old ppv back to take over tlc, extreme rules, and hell in a cell also bring unique stages back. So you can use those stipulations all year around and around certain story lines instead of just throwing them together.

It honestly sucks that, when people look back at this year for Alexa, almost all of the PPV matches she was in/involved in (involved in being Fiend/Orton at WM) were not that great, simply because WWE creative doesn't know what the fuck they are doing. I mean, yeah, I enjoyed a lot of the moments she had (her kicking Nia and Reginald simultaneously in the crotch was golden) but still, her matches could have been done so much better. And also, she shouldn't have had to face Eva at Summerslam. My hope is that when she returns, they'll book her better.

I find it upsetting that Crown Jewel was as good as it was due to how awful the past Saudi shows have been as well as just how genuinely terrible the Saudi government is. I believe that Crown Jewel would’ve been my favorite PPV of the year had it have been anywhere else. I personally think Wrestlemania Backlash was the best PPV of the year instead since with the exception of the obvious match we won’t discuss, it was an amazing show from top to bottom
