Loved the artistic match of pots and plants. Here in Australia I grow many agaves- they are drought tolerant, sun and shade tolerant, frost tolerant and of course, so beautiful. The artistic inspiration is obvious in the works on the wall

Anyone know what agave sp. the guy is holding at 0:57, the one just to the right as he puts the pot down (looks like titanota but which one?) and the agave at 1:08 thanks!

At :57 that does indeed look like a titanota cultivar. Same with the one he was holding. Recently many titanota were placed into a new species named oteroi and you can find similar cultivars under those two species names. Many of the more spectacular cultivars have Japanese names that escape me lol At 1:08 the plants being watered are staghorn ferns.

whats the mixture that they use??

Looks like mostly Lava rock, pumice, and turface. Those three are usually a good place to start in pretty much any ratio, and you can use whichever is readily available locally. Amending with zeolite, compost, akadama or sand can also help if you need more water retention.
