Amazing work. The idea to document the process, how you tweak the formulas and figure out how to achieve your intended look, is very educational. I've been trying to wrap my head around my own BT army project and watching you go through similar challenges is very encouraging. Can't wait for the vehicles !

Love the brown in the recesses. It really helps define the panels when you can't really go "darker" sas you can in lighter color schemes.

Absolutely brilliant! This is why I watch your stuff - you explain and think about color selection. I like where you landed over your terminators, but even more I like seeing that you were able to see what you wanted, because I had liked the terminator as well. I love the detail and time you put towards color and detail.

i always like it when its then applied to a vehicle to see if it still holds up or how you introduce more depth and interest when then dealing with large flat panels. love the muzzle burn like that it wasn't the typical blue and purple look. great video series overall!!!

I really like how that yellow turned out! It's weathered or just a bit faded, like some old motorbike, can or garage sign dug out of a barn, haha. It's not too pale and still has that oomf to it, even after the first two coats onwards Great to see old and new with changes like the eye lense glow, and imagine mixing or pushing parts of each for other chapters... After I saw the HH mk VI marines with jump packs, I wondered what you and Andy would think of them. The chest plate and harness is good to see! The jump pack itself is a distinctive style, I might need a better look at that, even though the new Epic scale guys have them

I like to "fix" my pigments with water plus a little odorless/colorless dishwashing soap. I creates a different, more defined look which I prefer. Used to use alcohol instead of water. It dried much faster, but also created some problems when the mini was already on the model (damaging the paintjob a little).

Very Similar to the scheme I use, even down to the basing! I prefer Corvus Black as the main body as it can be darkened in the shadows and highlighted as it needs to. That yellow on the guns looks mega, may have to give that a go.

Very, very well done, looking forward to seeing how the Dreadnought and the rest of the Terminators come together, I especially loved the burn effects. In however long a timeframe it takes. I have probably mentioned this before, but having an XOF style guard would be cool, plus I don't mind if it's a paint scheme done entirely with oil paints, it might be more appropriate given their look in Ground Zeroes and in their NBC suits in the art book.

Loving the outcome. Crusader squads are a good shout, as the Templar unique units, and a great way to get that ‘horde of marines’ feel. Moving beyond that, if it was my army, I'd be aiming for some modern versions of that oldskool marine army feel. So for me that's a an anti-tank Predator, some version of a Dreadnought (Brutalis?), and a centre-piece of an old favourite, the Land Raider. Homage could also be paid to 3rd edition, where the Land Speeder was introduced in the core set, and add a lesser spotted Speeder.

Looking great! I think crusaders would be a good next choice, they'd have some nice variety for painting with them mixing in neophytes and then the sword brother having the cape and red trim, or whichever colours you're gonna go for for sword brethren. For the guy with the red casing on his hand flamer is that the same method as the yellow but with mephiston? And if it is what highlight did you use?
