"despite maintaining the boycott for over a year..." Huh? As you know, the WTA never had ANY boycott of China. The ONLY reason WTA events were not held in China was that the CCP disallowed them. As soon as the CCP changed that restriction, the WTA simply stopped lying. They didn't end a boycott; they stopped lying about their (non-existent) boycott.

Thank you for raising awareness again, since most of the world seems to have only a short-term memory. Unfortunately, many still don't realize, this is exactly how China does things in every faucet (I can think of so many examples), and since most of the world so heavily depend on cheap Chinese consumer goods and Chinese market, China holds leverage. We need to speed up decoupling, like seriously.

In China is normal to have what is called a "second wife" (二奶, er nai) well known by the official wife as it was this case. Nothing justifies Peng's disappearance and its clearly inappropriate behavior by a married government official. Let her leave the country and visit friends or a tournament to show she isn't under house arrest. From the Guardian UK: "Peng had posted an essay to Weibo in early November, describing an on-again-off-again consensual affair with the then 75-year-old, and an incident in which he allegedly pressured her into having sex after inviting her to his house to play tennis with him and his wife. Amid what she described as “complicated feelings”, they allegedly rekindled the affair, until an argument and his failure to meet her shortly before the post." Could it be that "sexual assault" may be applied too broadly here given her "mixed feelings" that include her disappointment in being jilted by this guy? Where is the evidence of force - especially physical force or threat. It sounds more like a manipulative jerk official only interested in sex and a younger woman who has developed some romantic feelings and also feels regret and used now.

“sTiLl mIsSiNg” dude if you’re gonna make 36 min video you should at least research. She made a public appearance recently in Nanjing where she met junior players. The WTA & ITF also made contact with her. Funny to me that people always ask the WTA and ITF to talk to peng shaui and make sure she’s safe when their mind is already made that they’re not gonna believe she’s safe no matter what. Why bother ask about her safety then?? Anyway, I am glad tennis is going back to china. At least they won’t discriminate against players based on their nationality and deny them entry like the xenophobic European tournaments did recently.

Wow! I think I'm more upset at the WTA than the CCP. While it's true that they need to pay their athletes, they should have been trying to figure out what to do if the CCP didn't yield and backed themselves up. Perhaps the real reason why they never yielded was because they(CCP) knew they had their(WTA) nuts.

That's disgusting. The guy use his power and influence to attract a naive up and coming star to have sexual relation. When he ended the relationship, years passed and she learned what she did was not right. I'm not to say she is in the wrong for communicating with him again but did she really think all he want was to be friends? I used to think she's was really sexually assaulted but now that I think about it it seems like she's setting him up because xi wanted him who is one of xi's rival main ally to lose influence. Maybe Xi promise she would get a position in the CCP party but I doubt that will happen. In other words she got nothing out of setting the guy up.

13:34 Of course, there’s absolutely no justifiable reason for men getting paid more than women in tennis and other sports. It’s not like men are the ones bringing in all the sponsorship deals, ticket sales, and TV ratings. Men are more skilled and perform at a higher level than women ever could, making their matches must-see events bursting with excitement. Fans flock to tennis tournaments to watch men play because men's game is so thrilling and superior in every possible way.
