V Since all of us in this video stay in Korea, I naturally compared Indian food to Korean food. And I stand by my opinion when I said Korean food is healthier. I also mentioned Indian food can be healthier if you eat balanced diet everyday, which I doubt everyone manage to do everyday. Indian food can be categorised as unhealthy because it is being linked to high sugar and high carbohydrates food (=high cholesterol and diabetes). Recent data also says that the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) is up to 50% higher in first-generation South Asians than in the white European population in the UK. One of the reasons being Indian food is either too 1. Oily, 2. Greasy, 3. Fried. So, unless you’re having a balanced diet with sufficient amount of Salad, Dahi, Lentils, Rice and Grains and less amount of oil, ghee, sugar, salt, spices, our food might come off as unhealthy.

@Gustav Rigi I never said Indian food is unhealthy, it totally depends upon the location. I said the girl in the video said compared to korea Korean food is more healthy and I agree. And I said raw veggies not raw meat. What you said about health care, pollution, population was all correct but healthy food is also a factor. The amount of oil we eat in our daily meals is may be twice or thrice what Koreans eat. I'm talking about home made food and not street food. Even in street food they maintain hygiene. And ramen are made of wheat flour which is again good coz our Maggie is made of refined wheat flour/maida and one thing common between them is sodium which is extremely dangerous. So both countries have healthy and unhealthy foods, and you yourself said that in India its because population, pollution and poverty and it's exactly opposite in Korea so ultimately you are saying the same thing.

Piyusha, we are Marathi. We literally have so many varieties of bhaaji available in Maharashtra and they all are healthy. I personally don't put much masala and oil in my bhaaji yet the dishes tastes delicious. Our simple and usual homecooked meal, bhaaji, poli, varan, bhaat is the best example of a balanced diet. South Indian dishes also healthier comparatively. So imo, Indian food is one of the healthiest food in the WORLD.

The thing is Indian food is actually a very balanced and very healthy(I am south Indian but this applies to almost all pars of Indian). We First have the veggies with rice, then something like sambar or kozhambu ,etc. Which is thick in consistency(with rice). Then rice with rassam and finally with curd. Again there are many tupes of Kozhambu, Rassam, etc. We emphasize on eating How much ever we want at morning, same at lunch and a little restrained at night.
