“They exist in a liminal space of human subjectivity” This made me laugh at first, but now I realise how accurately this describes a feeling I’ve been having lately. I’m in a burnout and have been pretty much forced to do very little for the past months, sometimes just staring at the ceiling for hours on end. It’s this feeling of loneliness combined with an extreme awareness of existence and time. Everyone and everything around you is passing by, but you are standing still just observing. It is the feeling of being outside of time, in a way. Your description finally made me understand it and allowed me to put it into words. You’re a genius Frankie! 🔥

Some introverts are so introverted that their own brain suppresses that self-importance feeling to the point that they don't even feel it or realise they care so much about themselves, making those replays of embarrassing situations feels 100x worse, because they fail to realise that not a single random person remembers them, and anyone who did, just dismissed anything potentially awkward as 'they were just nervous'

I know I’m not alone in this: I wish those loud and stupid types were half as withdrawn as I am and I wish I was half as assertive as those types are. I’m sorry, but if you want to be less awkward, less cringe, less scared make yourself HEARD!!! You actually don’t have a choice if you want to be less paranoid about literally everything in life. If you don’t like something, say it, who cares about what other people think ? At least you have the bullocks to point it out ffs. I might be a bit harsh, but I feel like introverts have an extremely low self esteem and prefer to suffer in silence instead of growing a pair of balls (or ovaries) and face their struggles and problems, why ??? Not every introvert of course, but you get my point. So, stop being scared for everything and just say what you want to say and I can guarantee you, you WILL feel a lot better if you open yourself up, like a blossoming flower :) So go outside, be vulnerable and even if people deceive or injure you, don’t close yourself completely or else you’ll be sad your whole life. For those who had the patience to read that stuff, congrats! Have a good night dear introverts, take care and don’t be too afraid, ok ?

The way to deal with introversion is the same way to deal with anxiety: Depression. You can't feel shame about your behaviour when you don't care about yourself. Likewise, you can't be anxious about stuff when you don't care about anything. Depression! It cures all that ails you!

Did you know it also cures extroversion? Depression stops you from going out and annoying other people! It is a win for not just you, but society too!

I see you're talking to yourself. Don't worry, depression cures psychosis too! You can't think the wrong thoughts if you just stop thinking!

I lived by myself and worked alone for five years. I think I just evolved into one. I find the company of others almost intolerable now.

I don’t think you can evolve into being an introvert. You probably just discovered it by mistake.

BARS. I’ve been thinking about this kind of thing lately: introverts have become so glorified and aestheticized online and it’s weird

The *real* introverts didn’t make it into this video because they’re endless thinking about hypothetical social situations has prepared them for every way to escape strangers with cameras and microphones. Those introverts who didn’t make it into this video are the rare ones who actually got to put that plan they prepared for into action that the rest of us are constantly waiting for.
