Also, just because there are things being taught in public school that you personally are afraid of, that doesn’t mean you have to right to rob children of any knowledge, regardless of the topic. Children go to school to learn about the world around them, on every level that’s available to them, you keeping them out of school or filling their head with how “public school is just the gubment!” is making them victims of the very same indoctrination that you’re afraid of. This guy in the mirror, he was me, but what was it about me that I needed to change? and how did others view me? So the questions grew deeper and deeper. I asked my self, why is society the way it? and the answer is simple: People stay the same, many never try to help them selves before they help those who can’t improve for them selves and I realized none of our tax payer funds help design programs that fund supportive refuge social places(places we could meet potential partners or meet lifelong friends to motivate good functions in society) We were created in creations image and yet, just like Einstein said, the very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. The trauma bay. There’s a catch though… Every single aspect of life has been overrun by this feminized culture. The pride flag shirts at work, the open discussion about someone’s degenerate weekend out. It’s all pride, sloth and gluttony. There’s pockets of men in healthcare that do just fine taking that proverbial ball and going home, you’ll just have to seek them out. You can build a great group and save a few people’s lives. Again, you have to seek them out.

8 ounces to the cup. 8 cups is 64 ounces, 4 pints, 2 quarts, or 0.5 gallons. 12 cups is 80 ounces, 6 pints, 3 quarts, or 0.75 gallons. If someone is loafing around on the couch or sitting in an air conditioned office, I guess that might be okay? Maybe? But, if you're outside, don't you need at least 16-24 cups (1-1.5 gallons) just for light duty? I used to drink 1.5-2 gallons a day when I was working exterior security during the summer in 90-105° weather. I think they've decided that things like super bowl parties are "acceptable" expressions of masculinity because it is perceived as safe: a group of guys cheering on "their" tribe without participating or the players on the field even having the first clue that they exist. I think you're right on first steps: get your kids out of school and turn off the screens. As much as you can, keep your kids from getting programmed in the first place. In the long run, I think we need to counter their long march through the institutions with our own. We also need teachers, artists, filmmakers, novelists, etc. We need art that inspires men with images of what they can be and what they should live up to. We need films and novels that depict healthy brotherhood, strong men, and men with moral backbone. We need teachers who actually teach boys to think with logic and teach them things like history and moral philosophy. We also need to encourage masculinity in childhood, starting with rough and tumble play outdoors.

You hit it on the head! If it's not training to make a better you or family, it's just a waste of time. But sometimes ya just need a minute to be to yourself to reflect on the direction you need to follow.

The best times I've had with friends have been at social events (cards, sports, etc) where the subject of getting out and hiking the wilderness gets brought up. It becomes a competition to see who's going, what we need to be prepared, training, comparing gear, getting a week off, and then actually making the trek. I've been to some awesome places, and while we're there, making plans for other trips...it has turned into a cycle of one upping the last trip, because that's what guys do.

I'm Gen X, and I think it's the boomers who screwed things up. We were left on our own most of growing up, we have a healthy distrust of everything.

In my grade school it was hard core dodge ball after lunch.. I grew up in a small town and the school was cheap and didn't buy those fancy new soft dodge balls. We used left over volleyballs and basketballs.

Many years ago I had my son at the playground. Other dads were sitting on their fat asses while their kids ran around. I swore I'd never be THAT dad...so I'm running around, climbing trees, having fun. I don't watch sports of any kind, I like to spend my time outside camping, hiking, whatever. Good talk.

Take your kids camping walk up and down the creek in the middle of the night checking trot lines teach your kids to do stuff like that. Now I was raised in the woods and on a creek bank setting bush hooks running trot lines checking fish baskets. How many kids today know what the best bait is to put in a fish basket?

Get alot listening and about always in agreement. I get starting your own group but what gets me is never being close to the same page with anyone, even out trying to meet people. Think I'll use the encouragement to just focus on doing things with kids even more. Afraid I have meantioned things on Facebook and now I'm absolutely blackballed. On water, I carry several 2 liter bottles to do anything at all, basically. When backpacking, usually carried large hydration pack, and 2, 2 liter soda bottles fulll at least. Saved me and people with me so many times. Always respect and want to hear from military men on things, thats done it, and rarely listen to the yuppies on anything related. Their plan if something happens, always seem to be someone rescuing.
