@Haus Paradox is an expansive company, worthy of every bit of scorn. But the current dev team for Imperator took over after the disastrous launch, and are responsible for this wonderful turn around. They are deservent of praise.

@Haus You should blame the publisher, Paradox Interactive, for that then. They're the ones that decide the development time, when to release it, the price of it, DLCs, etc etc. The developers, Paradox Development Studio, have nothing to do with that. They are just paid to develop and make the game. It's the executives that screw people over. But I am in the same boat as you are. I still condemn the publisher for deciding to release a game that is clearly unfinished, but I will give the developers some credit for finally turning it into something 'good'.

Interesting. It looks like the timeline of the game ends with the historical date of Jesus beginning to preach formally in Judea. That definitely allows the programmers to avoid the explosion of Christianity in the Empire that began around 80 AD. But I guess this also means the game largely ends with the historical end of the Roman Republic. Interesting date choices.
@shawntipton50782 жыл бұрын
Christianity's transformation of the Roman Empire from a warlike civilisation to a pacifist and peaceful one was important in the development of the European peace that largely existed throughout the continent during the next thousand years or so, that said not everything Christianity did was correct, for example ending the the Library of Alexandria for example. Like all religions, Christianity was and is full of leading scientists, thinkers, leaders and progressives that advanced and advance civilisation. I am Caucasian Jewish with Semitic ancestry btw

Greetings... u guys are hooking some ppl up on u games. Love CK3, Cities Skylines and was addicted to stellaris :D ONe question... iam at 0:24 and asking myself...how do you zoom in that close? I would love to zoom in very close and let some time pass and enjoy the view :D Also, is there a way to turn off the auto rotation of the map/camera? Even tough "camera face north" is turned off, as soon as i release the right mouse button, the camera snaps back

@Paradox, really enjoying the game now! Thank you so much. A couple of things though: Can't assign monarchs or consuls to lead the legions...and the legions can't be assigned to a given province which would help out alot with stabilising disloyal territories. Please add these features back, they're all that's missing for me now...

@Dayvit783 жыл бұрын
Most people say you should convert religion first until the territory get to majority state religion, then switch to assimilate culture. Check the details on the pop screen - when you hover over the green bar that shows progress, it will show you how fast and all the modifiers impacting the speed.

What's the point in integrating culture instead of assimilating them?
@kavitaet28583 жыл бұрын
It is easier to integrate a cultures which make up a huge part of your pops then to slowly assimilate them. You could assimiltae them, but your country would be unstable ...
@A_Toastonawhiteplate3 жыл бұрын
I watched another video and as far as I understood it it can have an influence on the units you can raise. If you integrate a culture you can raise their unit types if you assimilate them you can only raise units normal to your culture
@GODVxXxV3 жыл бұрын
Roman for free invention tradition, other major power culture for stability if needed. Late game there can be 2000+pop with major power culture
@MrVentches3 жыл бұрын
they reworked the military traditions. in each tree, there is an tradition that allows you to use another cultures tree(and gives bonuses on top), if you have an integrated pop of that type. for example, the romans can branch into the greek tradition tree, by integrating a culture of the greek area.
@MrVentches3 жыл бұрын
in addition to my other comment: levy type units can only be raised by integrated culture pops, and their composition is based on the culture. roman pops for example have more heavy infantry/cavalry than gauls, which have stuff like chariots and archers. by integrating them you can raise them too. integration is also quick and cheap. if a culture makes up a huge part of your empire, it might be more efficient to just ingegrate them than deal with the slow conversion. but as far as i can tell, even other integrated cultures can still convert to your dominant culture. having a non integrated culture being dominant in a territory also has some additional debuffs to conversion speeds. not to forget, a non integrated culture is not allowed to be citizens or nobels, both being really useful pop types. so pops in big cities you just conquered will begin to demote until you have pops of integrated cultures in that city, either by assimilation or migration.

@@hadimali6392 Tribal confederations like some of those you mentioned had a tendency to be made up of several distinct peoples dominated by a single tribe or clan, with individual tribes including indo-iranian, turkic, mongolian and other central asian peoples. And because ancient writers weren't always very specific when referring to nomadic people (Scythian was at times used to simply refer to anyone living north of the black sea, sedentary or pastoral by ignorant or careless writers) and the nomadic people themselves wrote relatively little, it's difficult to make hard cases on whether or not a particular group was 'predominantly turkic' or not, especially the further back you go. Also yes, Pontus would've had a Persian elite, perhaps with some greek-macedonian mixture/minorities in government post Alexander's conquest. I'll be honest i don't know as much about Pontus during this time as i could, so i'm talking broad strokes. The people living there would have included Greek and Persian migrants, but also various anatolian indigenous peoples related to the Hittites of the bronze age (at least ethnically. Culturally Persian and Hellenic overtones would be strong).
