Thank you SO MUCH for posting this. I had tickets and was supposed to come up from Canberra and ended up not being able to and was so upset. Like many of you, CC was my favorite band in the 80s and I was so excited when “Don’t mind if I do” came out in 1999 signaling a new era. Your video makes me feel like I was there. Can’t thank you enough. 100% agree that I would’ve liked a set list that reflected their catalog better. We didn’t hear anything from “Don’t mind if I do” or “Life” or “This what I do” did we? White Boy, Love Twist, I’m afraid of me, Changing Every Day, Black Money (which I’m shocked they didn’t play), War Song, The Dive, Gusto Blusto, God thank you woman, I just wanna be loved, Strange Voodoo would all have been amazing to hear. Maybe next time :)

Loved your comments. Wow, you really are a fan to know all those songs. George actually didn't like "Don't mind if I do" and like you, I was excited when it came out. I think it's very refined and their 3rd best album after the first 2. "Cold Shoulder" and "Less than perfect" are brilliant. You'd probably have to go back 40 years to hear them play their second single, "I'm afraid of me." I've seen them perform it in Canada back then. Happy Birthday Karma. You were hitting the shops in England this month 40 years ago! BIGGEST selling UK single 1983!!! Take care.

No one can replace Helen Terry. She was the fifth member. This is why their early hits don't sound nearly as good live without Helen. Many have tried and Culture Club have used some great amazing vocalists but personally, I wished the fans would let go of nostalgia and allow CC to move on. They have had 4 albums since Helen left where they could give the fans a new live experience of songs never heard live and put these talented singers to work.

It was at the ICC at darling harbour... tickets ranged from $90 to $600 for meet & greet and access to the VIP pre concert drinks (Party), and exclusive merchandise... Tickets could either be Digital or paper depending on your preference..

As a professional saxophone player, I am heavily biased in favour of the saxophone. But I have to say that imo, this didn’t work. Look, the guy plays the shit out of the saxophone and has tremendous stage presence but he played like it was his gig instead of being a sideman. He also played smooth jazz solos (there were way too many but that isn’t his call) which didn’t match stylistically with what the rest of the group was doing. And man, the solo on Time” is iconic and he chose to improvise it? Not a good call (Again, imo). I would’ve hired a tenor player who stayed in the background and also played keyboards and flute. Great player, just not in this context.
