She worked non-stop! Inspirational, truly. At the beginning she did so much of her own work. She is the epitome of talent, brains & beauty.

My husband and I bought our first house for $36k in the 70s, but at an interest rate of around 18%...unheard of today! I'm close in age to Martha, and I wanted to emulate everything she did. I think I purchased her first published book from K-Mart. From then on I was hooked. Today I am recognized in my circles for my entertaining, interior design and restored antiques. Thanks Martha! I very much enjoyed this video. Thank you for producing it.

Martha was born with a gift. I have learnt much from her. Thank you for the peek.

This was my favorite "era" of Martha Stewart. I was so captivated by her refined elegance and good taste. I grew up in a very blue-collar, almost rough, steel mill city, so Martha was like opening a new universe for me. Still love her, hands down one of my greatest influences in life.

That woman has not only the vision of what could be but the talent and work ethic to make it so. Beautiful ❤

It was the BEST when she lived there at Turkey Hill in the early 80's; I was mezmerized---PERFECT. EARLY Martha is my fave, being a proud Aericn of Polish heritage, too!

Thank you, Martha, for showing Turkey Hill. It is my favorite house, that you lived in, in a program on TV. Thank you so much.....e

46K in ‘71 is a steal. Especially for Westport. It must have been in some state.

You're right. My parents spent $45 k at that time on their house, which was just under 1,000 sq ft and a little less than 1 acre...and it wasn't in NY, it was in hillbilly country.

That's about 350k today. Not bad for an old house with acreage, even if it needs another 350k of work put into it

Beautiful house and property. I love the porch room with all the windows and light. Does Martha still own this property?

No, sold it & moved to Bedford NY

With all due respect to Martha Stewart, my Mother was (a) "Martha" even before Martha was "Martha" (the brand). 🤣They are kindred spirits! Watching any footage of Martha Stewart brings me home on so many levels. 🥰

I would garden half the day and spend the other half of the day in that GLORIOUS pool.
