For those interested in Dynamite Heady, do yourself a favor and play the Japanese game with English patch. The difficulty was turned up in the US game, and most dialog was removed and what was left was changed(other changes were made as well). Decap Attack was changed entirely from its Japanese release, and the original game translates to Magical Hat, and has an English translation as well. Both are worth playing and I only bring up the Japanese game because it is entirely different from the US release.

Brazil was the first country to exhibit Yu Yu Hakusho in the West, and the game was released in Brazil because the anime was a huge success and Sega had a great relationship with the brazillian market at the time

I wish I appreciated the Mega Drive more when I was a kid. The only real memory I have of it is trying to play Mortal Kombat 3 with the sound off because my mum shouted at me earlier in the day and said I couldn't play video games. That, and playing a lot of Sonic 2 and 3, of course.
@warehousedave79372 ай бұрын
There's something wrong about a British accent calling the Mega Drive a Genesis
@voteDC2 ай бұрын
It's because the viewership of KZbin is overwhelmingly USA based. This is why you'll see tech KZbinrs for example from the UK, Canada, Australia etc also giving prices in US dollars because that's the currency most of the viewership is going to be familiar with. So when it comes to a video like this the Mega Drive becomes the Genesis because, despite it only being called that in the USA, that's what most of the viewers expect.

@@dumbstruckempire Ikr? Not only that, but the cheapest way to buy a lot of Genesis games, the genesis/megadrive classics collection, will be delisted/retired on December 6. I believe both Dynamite Headdy and Gain Ground are still in the collection on Steam for like a dollar each, along with others like Vectorman I would recommend... The dreamcast collection on Steam is going away too. I'm probably going to buy them both later today when the black friday sales begin.

Was confused during The Ooze segment as I'd put my phone down but was still listening and recognised all the sound effects but not the music. But that's because STI were developing it the same time as Comix Zone and apparently used the same sound library 😅

Well it's usually included in every Genesis collection Sega has put out in the last 20 years, so I would guess most people with some interest know of it by now. But then again I think the same thing can be said about Dynamite Headdy and Gain Ground so maybe that has nothing to do with it.
@bananonymouslastname56932 ай бұрын
I learned nothing here, sadly, but most of these are fun games. Cosmic Spacehead is not. Anyone that likes Gain Ground should check out Crack Down on the Genesis. Similar feel, but different objectives and retains great co-op.
