This song seems to have been scrubbed from the web, it's far too good to deserve such a treatment.
This song as well as a number of other "Rebel songs" uses the tune from an old Irish waltz called "Rosin the bow" first publiched in the US of A in 1838.
It may very well be taken down so enjoy it whilst you can!

You're absolutely goated my g, been searching this for months and thought I was going crazy and maybe I'd just dreamed of the song or something and that's why I couldn't find it anywhere lol, any idea as to why they took it off their channel? Thanks so much for uploading it!

Not sure to be honest, its been more or less scrubbed from the internet. Cumann na mBan is considered a terrorist organization in the UK, that’s my best guess as to why the vid has been removed. Or maybe the fellas just don’t like the song.

Thank you for finding this! I remember it being on youtube and then one day i couldn't find it. I noticed that this version uses slightly different lyrics and more lyrics from other versions. I think these are the lyrics to this version (all done by ear) not all the lyrics are perfect, line i'm unsure about will be highlighted with a * [Verse 1] All honour to Óglaigh na hÉireann, All praise to the men of our race, In days of betrayal and slavery, Saved Ireland from ruin and disgrace, But do not forget in your praising, Of them and the deeds they have done, Their faithful and true-hearted comrades, The soldiers of Cumann na mBan. [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched with fear in the *ban Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Our rather brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 2] When you wonder in solemn and story, The fighters who showed her the gun, And wreck not the *depload should reach them, It's so Ireland's freedom be won, Forget not the women of Ireland, Who stood without terror or dread, Beside those who battle so bravely, Made shellfire and deluge of red [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched with fear in the *ban Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Our rather brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 3] No great-hearted daughter of Ireland, Who died for her sake long ago, Who stood in the gap of her danger, Defying the Sassenach foe, 'Twas ever more valiant and worthy, Of glory in high sounding rann, Than the comrades of Óglaigh na hÉireann, The soldiers of Cumann na mBan! [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched with fear in the *ban Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Our rather brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 4] Our tricolour few on the breezes, Proclaiming o'er Dublin's old town, That the men of the nation awakened *Toward dire was ever hauled down And into our ranks came the heroines, Like the women of Limerick of old, And the smiles made the weakest a hero, right, *The fame boys and letters of gold [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched with fear in the *ban Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Our rather brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 5] Through the fight in the old GPO boys, Take the grief as the flames touch the sky, Be lit there a fire that will blaze, boys, 'Til the power of the Saxon shall die, And we'll cherish forever a story, Were the pages of history we stand, Of the valiant braved daughter's of Éireann, The soldiers of Cumann na mBan! [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched with fear in the *ban Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Our rather brave Cumann na mBan! [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched with fear in the *ban Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Our rather brave Cumann na mBan! I don't think the lyrics with * are perfect so take those lines with a grain of salt Once again thanks for finding this version!

No worries at all, i should be the one thanking you. I ran into those words you marked when trying to add the subtitles before. I wanted it to be 100% correct and wasnt able to find anything at all related to the lyrics of this version online. Your comment made me do another sweep and i just managed to find the lyrics in an e-version of the Irish Democrat from 1985.

I may have missed something, but by comparing the two, this is what i ended up with: [Verse 1] All honour to Óglaigh na hÉireann, All praise to the men of our race, In the days of betrayal and slavery, Saved Ireland from ruin and disgrace, But do not forget in your praising, Of them and the deeds they have done, Their faithful and true-hearted comrades, The soldiers of Cumann na mBan. [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched without fear in the van Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Hurrah for brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 2] When you honour in song and in story, The fighters who shouldered a gun, And recked not that Death’s blow should reach them, It's so Ireland's freedom be won, Forget not the women of Ireland, Who stood without terror or dread, Beside those who battled so bravely, Made shellfire and deluge of lead [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched without fear in the van Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Hurrah for brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 3] No great-hearted daughter of Ireland, Who died for her sake long ago, Who stood in the gap of her danger, Defying the Sasanach foe, 'Twas ever more valiant and worthy, Of glory in high-sounding rann, Than the comrades of Óglaigh na hÉireann, The soldiers of Cumann na mBan! [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched without fear in the van Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Hurrah for brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 4] Our tricolour few on the breezes, Proclaiming o'er Dublin's old town, That the men of the nation awakened Would die ere 'twas ever hauled down And into our ranks came the heroines, Like the women of Limerick of old, And the smiles made the weakest a hero, Write their fame, boys, in letters of gold [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched without fear in the van Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Hurrah for brave Cumann na mBan! [Verse 5] Through the fight in the old GPO boys, Take the grief as the flames touch the sky, We lit there a fire that will blaze, boys, 'Til the power of the Saxon shall die, And we'll cherish forever her story, While the pages of history we scan, Of the valiant brave daughters of Erin, The soldiers of Cumann na mBan! [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched without fear in the van Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Hurrah for brave Cumann na mBan! [Chorus] Then here's to the women of Ireland, Who marched without fear in the van Old Ireland is proud of her daughters, Hurrah for brave Cumann na mBan!
