Nothing more satisfying than strapping a vehicle down on the frame machine and listening to the noises and seeing everything start to come into alignment . The noises are intense.

I went to auto body repair school in high school 2nd half of the day, a lady pulled out in front of me leaving school and recked my Dakota, the teacher used my truck on their frame machine to teach the class "how too" was so grateful for that teacher, looked straighter than it ever had😂

I pulled up to a place like this in Dallas. They want me to back my semi down an alley that exact size. I got it all the way until he said now around the corner. I said you want your equipment you need a Hilo or about 20 guys. They got a Hilo from their neighbor.

If thats still the 2nd gen frame every single 2nd gen I’ve had and worked on with the bed off the rear passenger side frame rail is higher than the driver side. I like to think its a factory design to accommodate torque twist from the diesel. Im talking 1/4in higher nothing insane.
@MikeAnderson-uj3oo Жыл бұрын
I've never had to have any framework done before. What would a job like that cost ?
@Ole_CornPop Жыл бұрын
I'd guess $500 an hour for the machine.
@Prillium Жыл бұрын
It's not quite that extreme. My dad has ran his own collision repair shop for 46 years now. When it comes to frame straightening stuff it's in the $250-$400 an hour range. The low end of that is for jobs not going through insurance companies. He gives people breaks when they pay out of pocket
@haydencarlson2861 Жыл бұрын
factory Squarebody frame would bend that much if you lifted it by one tire and then go almost back right away
@srt8madman727 Жыл бұрын
My 93 fox body was never the same after the frame was supposedly straightened. The driver's seat was twisted towards the passenger side of the car. It was bad enough that I sold it.

everyone watching this thinks that this guy is a genius but let the truth show you that he is not so when you setup and pull a rail like this i never nor have i ever seen a rail get pulled with the tire on the rack and the shock absorber connected because these two points are providing flex and your looking for stabilization so the only thing moving is the rail , so has anyone ever heard of getting there tire and shock squished while the get there frame straightened
