I know this is an old video, but out of curiosity what did you do with the old valve and what was actually wrong with it?

Is there a cleaner that you can spray in the throttle actuator and intake that will remove soot build up.

maximo martinez 5882 Cummins fault code, inactive maxxed out limit, would not idle verry good at all

@@maximomartinez8596 did you ever get that issue fixed? I'm having same issue top gears 30 lbs of boost normally 40 lbs loss if power and loss of fuel economy

@@bigeleonard right now l have little more power l change the pressure sensor that goes to the manifold and one of the wires of the sensors an the turbo was damage to and repair the wire and now l have more power and my RPM keeps on. You have to look that all the hoses of the turbo are in place and no leaks of air and you going to get more power. But l'm still need more power l still have something that l don't like.

@@maximomartinez8596 thanks for reply,I changed turbo and charge air cooler,egr ,pressure sensor and not a damn thing has changed,very frustrating as you know,my insight software shows everything is OK,no codes no nothing. have a good day.

I have a 13' 587 with ISX is driving with not issue but sometimes when I press the throttle to push up hills or taking off the red stop engine light came on and engine Stull till goes down to like 800 rpm them work again ,, but went do that with the throttle I hit the Cruise control and keep working...... I changed the TPS and still doing it , at the dealership they put the computer and told me that they have no code so basically they don't know what's going on..... I'm getting frustrated cause I have been with the truck just 3 month .....I'll appreciate your help and support

2013 587 Peterbilt. I do not have specific experience working on there vehicles. If there is a stop engine light that comes on at any time on any vehicle it is logged in fault history, or you may be able to find the code number by using your instrument cluster. Body control module are a problem in all the vehicles we have today, but every bcm will logg a fault for a stop engine light.

Are you a owner op? May be the cruise control settings need to be re-set. Does your truck have a speed limit setting?

@@madmotorrepair1748 yes I'm o/o no speed limit,, well a friend of mine put his computer and said miss communication to ECM again.... ,,, well if You think is the set up in couple weeks I'll hook up the computer and rewrite it. That will cost me like $1,500 ..... I'm getting nuts about this , Thanks if you think in something else just let me know..... Keep it up with the good work........

i been having similar problem for 3 years but its getting worse now nobody can figure out what it is whiledriving down the road i lose throttle and check engine fault will flash and so will vehicle ecu maintnace required but goes away after few seconds then happens again every so many miles and sometime it wont happen for a while everything drives normal like nothing is wrong but latley its been happening on everytrip and soemtime its get me stuck where i have to turn the truck off for a while then i can drive again have you ever fixed your issue and if so what was wrong with it

I have an idle speed fault on a Cummins ISX15. This replacement of the throttle actuator should assist with that fault correct? Having rough idle and Derate condition

I’m curious as to why you didn’t attempt cleaning the part which would have been the cheaper option for the customer?? Also curious as to why not paint the part so it’s somewhat protected from rust

Why not remove the air to air tube off the cooler give yourself room? Its only one clamp

Thank you one more question when this goes bad will it cause a surging problem when driving and a fluddering sound through the air cleaners

Do you have a check engine light? Mine does that but I don't have a check engine light, truck has no power

Mine is doing that same thing but throwing vgt and turboninlet temp codes. Nothing about throttle body or manifold pressures. But, my mechanic just called and said this was the problem. Im going to test drive it tonorrow and see whats up.

Mad motor repair. I have question i have 13 model isx 2350 and when i start out i get 38 lbs of boost and once going thru the day i only get 28 lbs. I have to stop and turn it off and on and i will get 38lbs for a little bit and only 28lbs thru out that. Lacks alot of power on the hills.

I'm not why you just didn't clean it...Truck engine parts ain't cheap.
