If your Cummins Onan QG5500 gas generator is not producing power (flashing red light), running rough or surging, or shutting off with a Code 45 fault, this video may help you! Of course there are other reasons the generator could do this, however this was the first time I found a broken brush block to be the issue. If this video was helpful or interesting to you, please subscribe and stay tuned for our upcoming video which explains all of the issues, fixes and hacks we've encountered over the four years we full-time RV'd with our QG5500!

Hi, we're the Lackeys! We are a family of six traveling full-time as a family of four in our motorhome. Our two oldest children, Quentin and Johna are grown and living lives on their own. We educate our two youngest children, Carter and Edith, while on the road. Did I mention we also have a bunny named Thumper?
Rob and I (Tosha) left behind our corporate, executive-level jobs to build a business on the road. We make a fraction of the money but the memories we have made are priceless. Some people tell us we're living the dream... others tell us we're trippin'! Either way, we're making memories on our terms.
