Cunard Queen Mary ....Vlog 3

So we awoke to brilliant sunshine as we headed into the port of Portland in Dorset . Although sunny it was definitely a bit chilly in the strong wind .
We had decided that today we were going to stay on the ship to explore the many parts of the ship that we hadn't seen.
So after an enjoyable breakfast that's exactly what we did . We ventured up to the top decks where it was still very windy . We walked around the massive deck areas , had photos beneath the famous red funnels and then decided to relax on the promenade on one of the many loungers .
Before lunch we decided to head to the Pavilion pool and bar , we had little dip in the hot tub before venturing into the pool for a quick swim . Then of coarse it had to be finished with a nice glass of wine .
After lunch in the buffet we explored more of the ship , before heading back to the room to start a little bit of packing and get ready for dinner .As we sat on the balcony the French ship Renaissance was leaving port , she was being serenaded by a choir and then a cannon fired a volley of three rounds as she sailed out of port .
We enjoyed our final dinner in the MDR before heading to the Queens room where the band The Revolvers were playing their set of sixties hits , we had a great time .
The following morning was time for disembarkation , so it was quick breakfast in the buffet before walking off the ship ourselves . We like to disembark ourselves so that we can get on the road and away before the traffic builds up.
It all went like clockwork and we had good journey back to Essex . So that ended our first experience with Cunard , we had great time and hopefully will be back for more .

Yes ice cream man was very short lived , we were on strike for nine weeks so had to try and earn a crust from somewhere.Its a wonder I wasn’t sued for poisoning everyone.😂. Totally agree on the dressing up for the evening Comment , it’s Pearls highlight of any cruise. I think it’s nice to make the effort, and if you don’t want to join in then there’s the buffet. That’s great you might try a Cunard experience, and a 3 night one gives you a nice taste to see if it’s for you . A bit of Shakespeare , you don’t know what you’re missing out on 🤣😂 . There were a few kids around , not many thankfully , sound like a right old moaner 😂 . As for Cunard it really was a great experience , one that I think we would love to try again . To be fair we had forgotten all about the service charges so when we saw them it was a bit of a shock .16 Dollars each. per day . Especially after being on P&O where you don't have any of that . Hi guys Can't believe it's the last one of this series 😢. I do like the curved walls and doors in the cabin compared to other ships. Makes a change, and the blue of the cushions . I did wonder at first why you weren't getting off the ship in Portland, but after you explained later in vlog it makes sense plus only being on the ship for 3 days you need to get your money's worth out of ship lol 😆. Breakfast looked lovely 😍 and you're right, Brian . Pearl doesn't need any of that beauty treatment on board as she is very beautiful, but I'm curious to know if you both ever do any of the classes and things that are advertised on the others' ships ?. I did also like the sun loungers blue again 💙 my favourite colour . They looked very comfortable and regal . James noticed that you do like an apple pie with custard 🍮 he would notice as it's his favourite as well 😉 or maybe a crumble first, lol 😆. Also, while we are on the subject of food, I think I vaguely remember having a misshapen lolly back in the 70s from a Mr Brian 😉 as a 7 year old that gave me a bellyache , been looking for compensation ever since 😀 glad I found you😅😅😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍. Also, Pearl, I think you should be upgraded to Empress now instead of Princess 👸 😉. The ships entertainment didn't have the fun feel of the other ships you have been on ,you both were the best dancers, by the way . I'm glad you both enjoyed yourselves on Queen Mary 2 . Hi Amanda , the cabins were very nice and for their age they had been well looked after . Could do with a modern shower cubicle. We really enjoyed the food onboard, we thought it was a better standard than P&O in our opinion. Not really into doing any classes , unless there is wine tasting 🥂🤣 . I have climbed the wall on the Caribbean ships before, and did the aerial walk on Arvia . Sun lounges were very comfortable with the nice thick padding. James obviously has great taste , I love most desserts with custard, has to be hot custard and not too thick and lumpy like it was at school.😫. So you have finally tracked us down, we will have to settle out of court I’m afraid , we have spent our money on cruises.🚢 😂. Empress 😱 she would be totally unbearable 😫. Thanks Amanda and James we had a brilliant few days , and although it was different to what we usually do we would certainly book another. What a trip! Pearl is becoming quite a fashion icon! I loved that necklace, and I'm not much for them. I like broaches. You had beautiful weather. So glad you got to do this. Poor Pearl, not spoilt...Her neck is dripping in gold . 😆 I would just like to say that Brians outfits are good too, it is not all about dresses.🤭 Sound can be a nightmare, My last vid , somehow lost the intro music, my mic slipped up to the side of my neck on the camera bag strap and messed with sound..Spent ages trying to edit sound..Trains , planes and echos all added to the problems..P.s. Shez went to the loo with mic on, and as I filmed outside scenes , her mic kicks in on record and picked up her sounds from the toilet...😮 .........Waiting for your next fun adventure. 😜

P&O Is definitely good value for money , but we just wanted to experience something different . But we are back on Arvia soon for two weeks around the Mediterranean . Hi Guys , thank you , yes we do try to have as much fun as we can . We are not really the channel to watch if you want facts . Normally any facts we give out are wrong 😂. We did enjoy QM2 , we were a little apprehensive at first but soon felt at home . We are back on Arvia in September, two weeks in the Mediterranean . Just binged the latest QM vids (Olympics has impeded my youtubing!) . I loved this!! I think I have avoided looking at Cunard as people have said it's always super formal, and it's kind of put me off as not wanting to go on it as I am not a particularly formal kind of guy. But it didn't look as formal as I was expecting from this? how did you find it? as always vids are great! thanks for producing! 🙂

Hi Senseicads , yes sometimes there are more exciting things to watch.😂 🤣. We had the same thoughts, would it be too formal and stuffy. But we found it really was just normal people having fun . They dressed smart at dinner but not over the top . It was definitely an older demographic , and some just go on for the ballroom dancing. We would definitely try another one . Really glad that you enjoyed these vlogs, thanks very much for watching. 👋👋🙏
