P&O IONA ..Madeira, Canary Islands.Spain, Portugal..Vlog 3...Cable car, toboggan ride, Olive Grove.

After 3 days at sea we arrive in the beautiful Island of Madeira in the port of Funchal.This was our first ever visit to Madeira.Our arrival was greeted with a lovely sunny day.
We had a P&O excursion booked for later that morning which included taking the Cable Car to the top of the hill and take the famous toboggan for our journey down .Apart from a very large queue that greeted us at the top of the hill lasting for two hours ,it was a very enjoyable excursion.

Arr loved Maderia 😍. We went on that same excursion when we were on Arcadia. I was the same as you Pearl wanted the drink before the cable car lol 😆. 2 hours i think James would have walked back down the hill if we had to wait that long 😅 but it was brilliant on the sleigh so much fun . Good Afternoon A+J . Isn’t Madeira beautiful, that cable car ride was something else.😱. I must admit there were plenty of times when we were queuing for the toboggan that if it wasn’t an excursion I would have walked back to the ship. That’s what we said , on our next visit we will explore more of the town .You’re correct on both counts about Pearl liking a big one 😂🤣. Do love Maderia, beautiful port. Shame you didn't go to the CR7 museum, which is about a 10-minute walk from the port. We was there in December on Azura, wonderful weather.

Hi Marc , we were on the excursion so long mainly because of the queue on the toboggan ride . So we didn’t get much chance to do anything else . First time in Madeira, loved it .

@@LeanneWintersFashionBloggerx The Canaries were still very warm, it was still 30 degrees and high twenties, when we were there. Portugal and Spain were 16/17 ish. Still very nice sunny, but not as hot. Freezing when we got back to Southampton, lol. Pack for every occasion.

Is it difficult to get on and off the cable car, like you have to be really fast or does it stop

Hi Kath , no it’s not difficult at all , the cable car slows right down for you to board , and again when you disembark . Although it doesn’t completely stop it is quite easy to get on and off , plus there is someone there to help on each car . Hope this helps Kath , and thank you very much for watching. 👋👋

Hi , it was busy I must admit , the guide told us that this was unusual. It only lasts about 10 minutes, and they are taking photos of you on the way down for you to purchase 10€. You could always take the cable car to the top then make your mind up . It is one of the iconic things to do in Madeira. Thanks as always for watching, hope this helps.
