Trump did not take a right from women. He said clearly, this will be on the state level and he would not veto a national ban. AND his view is that there are exceptions, and also, in other circumstances, in a situation where the mother would choose that intervention, it should be up to a certain number of weeks of the pregnancy only. What is happening now, in each state, is where rights are being established. Trump was never against abortion, and he's not very ideological. But you are right. The fundamental mistake is that we used DEI to pick our candidate. Harris was never our best player, not for VP, and certainly not for POTUS. This is the problem with DEI, you promote weaker people over the more qualified, and that is exactly what we did, and we paid for it. We Claudine Gay'd ourselves. Had we run a popular swing state governor, like Whitmer or Shapiro, somebody that has shown the ability to connect with swing voters, we would be celebrating right now and talking about the end of Trumpism. Instead we got our asses handed to us because we ran somebody that wasn't up to the task, that you could tell based on pass performance wasn't up to the task, and just to make it obvious that she wasn't our best choice, wasn't well positioned to distance herself from an unpopular POTUS. Instead we decided based on characteristics that don't matter to the vast majority of people, sex and skin color. We didn't put our best player into the game. That is why we loss. It is as simple as that. Not that it matters, but I am a life long Democrat. Somebody that would have been considered left wing 16 years ago. A classic liberal, like Bill Maher, that has watched with dismay as my party has been taken over by an illiberal cult of identity. I didn't vote for Trump, but since I didn't live in a swing state I didn't vote for Harris either. Her 2020 positions are exactly the wrong direction for my party and she gave me no creditable reason to believe that she moved to the center. If her values haven't changed, then she still really believes her 2020 positions and only giving lip service to the more moderate positions she might claim now.

This was really a big reason why Trump won. She was missing basic skills that we expect in a president, like the ability to answer questions on policy. I'm not on the left, but I'd really prefer our first female president to be someone competent. Anything less would be bad for the future of women in politics.

Agreed. Another consideration is the last-minute switcharoo. It’s one thing a healthy sitting President dies of a heart attack before his renomination…it’s another when everyone suspected whether or not Biden knew he was even President or not. Kicking out a blood Kennedy to the curb doesn’t help either; we’d be celebrating his victory if a normal primary process took place. It’s up to us on the conservative side to find young, quality America First candidates without baggage.

I would agree on that from genetics. Indian would likely be her dominant ancestry. Her father, was Black, but clearly has African and European heritage. So she is less than 50% African heritage. But in the West, generally, Black is having clear Black heritage. Which she does. There is no getting around that.

I was preparing to be disappointed by the election results but when this election was called on election night, ya'll...I almost cried! I am a black woman and voted for Trump in an area where he didn't win (allegedly) but my vote still factored into the astounding POPULAR VOTE! What a time to be alive and be a part of making HISTORY. Screamed to the heavens on how horrible and evil they were before they were sworn in. I remember shortly after they were in office Pence took his family to see Hamilton on Broadway and before the show started the actors came out on stage to chastise him. Basically said they didnt want him there. The seals clapped and called them strong and Brave. The nightime shows were disrespectful to them on day one even attacking Trumps family and holding signs in protest calling to R--- Melania Trump. Im feeling residual shock in seeing that while visiting my former home of NYC. They impeached and spewed lie after lie on him. Donald Trump is not a perfect person by any stretch but being a former New Yorker over 50. I can tell you that some of us working middle class have a different take on him. Story upon story of him sending coffee and baked goods to electrical and or construction guys working near Trump tower. This is long before he had political aspirations. Someone would deliver and say Donald Trump sent this as a thank you for being out here in the cold to get this fixed. I dont recall many billionaires in and around New York that did the same.

I often post on NewsNation. I'm a voter who supported Obama twice and never voted for Trump-until this year. The reason was simple: the rise in drugs and crime under Biden was affecting my family. My daughter was attacked, my wife stopped taking the train to the city, and I had to walk past human waste and about 40 drug users on my half-mile walk from the train station to work. This all happened during Biden's term. Under Trump, I’d only pass the occasional homeless person (fewer than five). I realized the Democrats seem to prioritize non-citizens (illegal immigrants) over citizens, so I voted for Trump. I’m not sure I’ll vote Democrat again unless there’s a shift away from the woke ideas. I'm very unhappy hearing the Democrats who are saying they will not work with the federal government on enforcing deportation orders. This will just piss a bunch of people like me off, and the shift away from the Democrats might become permanent. Hopefully, some Democrats in a position to make changes reads this.

Honduran drug dealers have become the primary suppliers in my city, and Mexican cartels are taking over rural areas. While local crime may seem like a local issue, it’s happening across all major cities, fueled by weak DAs and the "defund the police" mentality that’s infiltrated the Democratic elite. These "luxury beliefs" come from wealthy DNC supporters who don’t live in the areas most impacted by rising crime. It’s ironic how the DNC has become the party of wealthy, EV-driving elites, while Republicans are now the party of the working class-the plumbers and gardeners. I find the $7,500 EV tax credit particularly frustrating. With rising interest rates, over-regulation, and EV mandates, it's becoming harder for regular people to afford a standard car. While Biden hand edout money to the rich to get a luxury car that people thinksprojects the "virutue" fighting climate change.

Harris was asked point-blank what she would’ve done differently if she had been in charge for the past 3 1/2 years. And she drew a complete blank. That told the voters that she stood for four more years of Bidenomics. To have a chance of winning, she had to clearly distance and differentiate herself from Biden. But she never did that. And so people voted in droves for the guy who is not the incumbent. Incumbents have been voted out around the world, and yet somehow the Democrats are surprised that this could happen to them.

As a 26 year old woman who voted for Trump this year but not last year, it was because of the economy more than anything. My friends have shamed me “you don’t care about women’s rights?” And that was well played by Kamala who centered her campaign around that. The truth is that I’ve never felt strongly about abortion. I’ve never had a pregnancy scare but I’ve always believed that if I got pregnant, I’d just accept that and have the baby. I want kids, I’ve always really wanted kids. I know that that is only thinking of myself, but that’s what my vote is for, and I have that right. If they want to judge me, shame me, or cut me out of their lives for that - that’s on them. I’m tired of living paycheck to paycheck and we saw what Kamala’s policies got us the past 4 PAINSTAKING years.
