Banana, Burnt Butter and Caramelised White Chocolate Cupcakes Recipe! | Cupcake Jemma Channel

There was something really intriguing about the concept of this cupcake, I knew I had to try it asap! But...there's alot of components that go into it. I ended up deciding to ditch the caramelized white chocolate. But I made everything else exactly as the recipe states. The batter and the banana caramel are a delicious combo. It was my first time making banana caramel, so I actually thought it tasted a bit funky on its own. However, when it's added into the cupcake, it tasted absolutely amazing. The burnt butter cream was also quite good, but I've always held the opinion that buttercream is much too sweet. When I topped the cupcakes with this buttercream, it ended up making the entire thing so sweet. Like make-ur-teeth-hurt, slightly unpleasant kind of sweet. If I were to make this again, I would probably adjust the frosting and go for a ganache, or just a whipped cream frosting with less sugar. I would also lessen the sweetness of the cupcake batter just a bit. I think then the cupcake will be perfect. Some other suggestions: - half the amount of banana caramel stated in the recipe. It will be more then enough. I made the full amount and now idk what to do with the rest of the caramel (it tastes too weird to eat on its own, it was only good with the cupcakes) - if you're not a big fan of frosting, you can also half the amount of buttercream. That's what I did, and it ended up being enough to frost all the cupcakes. - when you're making the banana caramel, be sure to blend the banana in a mixer instead of mashing it by hand. I mashed mine by hand, and it was a mistake cuz there were too many lumps in the caramel. Ended up having to strain it for the perfect smooth effect. - the pie crumbs were delicious, but they taste alot like crumbled oreos tbh. I see no reason to make them from scratch. if you're short on time just Oreos or other premade cookies. Still, great recipe! I applaud the effort and thought that was put into it. Burnt butter, banana, and caramel are all flavors that I would never think to put together, and yet they compliment each other so perfectly

You know……The top of the cupcake dipped in caramel white chocolate + covered in pie crumb kinda matches Danes skin and hair. So I think definitely it should be named with “Dane” in it.
