I want to theorize. Pinkie talks of the truth not being as simple as it appears. She looks directly in the camera the whole time. And she has fourth wall breaking capabilities. The real culprit isn't Pinkie, it's the fans, creating work that deviates from the canon. Pinkie just follows the script.
