The fact that the taro one was more gray than purple actually makes me think there’s real taro!! I’ve made taro cupcakes and they are truly an appetizing grey when you cook and mash them. You have to add purple to get that classic purple taro look

i’m not asian, but i have brooklyns china town in my neighborhood, which has a costco, and the best thing costco has done was bring in their asian food. that shit is banging and helped open me to more asian foods

Yup , Royal Asia's Spicy Shrimp Wonton is the G.O.A.T of frozen food for sure , also recently Costco had White Rabbit ice cream and it was phenomenon but it was out so quick .

I am lucky to have a Costco with many Asian items you review. But I only buy them once I get your take. I abhor things that are too sweet. I'm not particularly eager to waste food, but when I taste unreasonable sweetness, I have to throw it all away. I generally take 0%-25% sweetness at the boba shops, so most things are too sweet for me. No one else seems to be concerned about this factor in their reviews. I am also particular about texture, so the comments on dumpling skin and filling textures (mouth feel) are very useful. The willingness to vote "X" on items that don't make the cut is greatly appreciated. Honesty is sorely missing these days, so thank you for always being honest with your viewers. You not only make people happy just by watching you, but you also help to enrich the dining tables of so many homes with yummy and quality foods.

Omg my mom did the same and bought the Bibigo dumplings again! 😂 BUT they changed the cooking directions and we think the sauce too, and the wrappers are better/thinner than before. We actually like them better now! The directions now say to microwave for 2 minutes in sealed package, let sit for 1 minute, then enjoy. The sauce is a bit sweeter and less vinegary than before, but we still make our own lol. We’re actually planning on picking another box up for quick meals/snacks and to add to ramen. 🍜 🥟

for the classic milk tea i reccemend not putting all the syrup in. I usually just put it in a separate cup and just manually take out the boba and transfer it to the cup I'll end up drinking from and then putting some of the syrup in the cup too. A big spoon works great for scooping out the boba
