Of the three reviews of the VZ on KZbin, yours is the only one to correctly state that the car is RWD

Is it true the Tavascan is more sporty because the Born cuts the power too early (if it detects unsafe driving)?

I'm thinking about getting an electric car in near future, but I can't make my mind whether I should go for Volvo EX30 or Cupra Born. Why is noone comparing them? Their size and features are comparable... Does anyone have an opinion?

I've looked at both and test driven both. I think EX30 is a much better option. Faster, better software and UI/engagement, better materials, cooler styling. The cupra felt a bit heavy and sluggish at 7+ secs 0-100 vs EX30 at 3.6s. Your thoughts?

PS: I should say the Cupra felt more spacious. They might appeal to different people though. I have a small child so the EX30 feels better higher up with getting him into and out of the car. I guess the glass roof helps with a feeling of space even though it might be tighter than the Cupra.

@@mikemoros thank you for your answer, I drove them both last week and as you said cupra felt more spacious and that’s it. I also liked EX30 more, the screen is much better, the software, the visibility, the way it drives... Also, had a headache after driving Cupra, I assume from the strong chemical smell of the interior. At this point my only concern is the space on the trunk. We’re expecting a baby in a few months. Since you havea small child how is it working for you? Do you have enough space on the back for all the stuff you need?

@@NatureHarmony_ I had a test drive with a car which the dealership’s manager was using as her daily driver and had a child’s seat. My son fit great. It’s tight for adults but great for kids up to 10-12 years old. I haven’t bought one yet, putting a deposit down next week I think.

@@NatureHarmony_ Volvo Kristian did a luggage test. Looks like it holds a perfectly reasonable amount of luggage given its size kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZmjKoY2eeMtriLssi=qPMkaCTMf2GGbmPe

Since you're focusing on performance, the comparison is still only with the basic Tesla M3 RWD. Which is quite a bit less costly to buy. Given the option between MEB or Tesla, at this point, I'd take the MEB vehicle, at the same price, assuming matching performance. Sadly, for the spend required on the Born VZ, plus the required extra heat pump, we've reached the price level of the TM3LR, which is a full level higher than the VZ. If the purchase price would be brought down a bit, so it was a viable choice over the M3 RWD, for not too much extra cost, then the VZ could out-sell Tesla, I'm sure of it.

It's a shame, cheaper than most other hatchbacks, but still priced higher than a Tesla, they need to wake up to the fact that some of us don't want a huge car, but feel forced to get one because Tesla is priced more reasonably, plus it grants you access to their chargers, which is something that needs to be factored in too, all the "old brands" are pricing themselves out of consideration.

How have Cupra been allowed to launch this before VW launch the ID.3 GTX?! You'd think that VW would want to get their version out first?!
