This is the second version of a video where I tell about my very earliest memories and a story about first Pietersz on Curaçao. As the video begins we see drone footage of Punda and the Caribbean Sea. The camera pans and the drone heads towards the Witteweg and 2:54 lands at my feet as I stand in front of an old house with columns that are inspired by greco-egyptian sculpture. My mother's youngest uncle, Momo Zjein Pietersz lived in this house with his wife Mercelita. He really wasn't that much older than my mother. I don't think I ever met him. I've always like this house. You find three houses built in this style on this street. The columns are different on each of these. 4:05 We head towards the a building that once housed a sanatorium. 4:36 The drone takes off and we look over the harbor and the oil refinery. 4:59 In the second section we find ourselves in front of and above primary school/kindergarten. The Johan van Walbeeck School. 8:16 We exit the school and head towards Zuikertuintje and Bloempot. 10:11 We are on Kaya Grandi in Otrobanda. 10:37 the drone takes off and flies over "Kranshi" or "Casa Blanca". 12:00 We also fly over the Saint Thomas College. 13:00 about the 17th century graves of the Pieterszes at Landhouse Bever. About Jan Pietersz van Oxfort, his wife Johanna Mattias and their son Thomas. We fly over Bloempot, Zuikertuintje Rooi Catochi and Landhouse Bever. 14:00 about the feud between Johanna Mattias and the Director of the Dutch West India Company in Curaçao We fly towards the harbor and back again to Rooi Catochi.
