You have to be connected to something first. Bluetooth link the headphones/speaker AND THEN go to your options. It has to see what the linked device can accept first.

Hi if you are using sony 1000 series headphones then install the Sony's Headphone app..and it lets you change the quality there itself. Although inside that i prefer normal quality with modified equalizer because it disables equalizer at high quality settings.

Hi this is something which hasn't been completely straightforward revealed anywhere in docs plus they only list specific bluetooth transmitter devices and not any smartphone as an example as of today. As per Qualcomm's website AptX low latency is a feature of bluetooth encoder device. So some people are of the opinion that most modern mobile phones running android 8 and above with bluetooth 4.x or 5.x should have it even though not mentioned in developer options buts its the earphones that should specify clearly if they support low latency or not. So there is only one option to experiment with a earphone that says it supports low latency. Also there is new kid on the block AptX adaptive which should be doing something similar.

If your codec setting go back to default despite your device supporting it, my tip is to turn off your Bluetooth device before changing the settings. edit: sadly it worked momentarily, it's switching back to the default again.

Hi not all the earphones and mobile phone combinations provide good results in AAC... Aac works best with apple devices , now i checked the reviews on flupkart for boult airbass and people have not reported any low volume issues. So i would suggest that you reset the pairing settings of the earphone and also check it by connecting them with some other mobile otherwise the earphones might be faulty... Try connecting them with some laptop too just in case to check..

Overall they are same in terms of sound quality but sony has improved noise cancellation , bluetooth version which is now 5.0 and couple of extra sensors like when auto pause when you remove from head in the newer xm4 models...also few additional software features. But if the price difference is huge then you can go for xm3 if you wanna simply buy for audio and noise cancellation otherwise i would choose xm4 for few additional upgrades but only if price is not too high compared to xm3...also during sale even xm4 are at discount like prime day sale so you might wanna check that..

It will automatically change n depends on paired device 😏 If your device don't have LDac or Aptex then you will never be able to forcefully do it. And one more point. In Bluetooth device device list check your connected device and expand it has the given maximum audio code SBC,AAC,LDAC,APTEX ETC ETC.

Hi I would suggest you to use sony's headphones official app to directly use ldac. It has a Priority of sound quality option in it which selects ldac if avaliable. I use it for my wf 1000xm4 with samsung z flip 3
