Fun fact: this whole show is improvised. Which makes it so much funnier because the actors reactions are real. The scripts were basically just laying out the plot and the rest was just improv feeding of each other.

The "taking the shoes off in someone else's house" thing is very culture dependent. Here (Ireland) it could be seen as rude to ask someone to do it as the host. I've been in areas in southern England where I've been asked and it seemed very strange, and an imposition.

I'm kinda with Gil's wife on this one. From her perspective, they were hosting a dinner party at a certain time. One of the guests who said they would attend was more than an hour late, forcing everyone to either wait or continue without them. Then, when they do show up, she finds out they ATE BEFORE the dinner party. And Larry offends her even further by wearing shoes in her house. The cherry on top was breaking the expensive, hard-to-get lamp. I'd be livid, too. We see Larry's side, so we know it wasn't all like that, but from her perspective, that was a huuuge dick move.
