No. There are no "middler" attributes. It is a typical L David absurdity that fuels - like kindling - his plots. Normal people aren't offended (an example) like the Curb people. Real people don't act / react like Curb (or Seinfeld) characters. Specifically, there was no social awkwardness based on reality. There is no taking turns at conversation at a dinner party. People talk and listen to whom they please.

Middlers should not only be great conversationalists but also good, strong passers. They should have the ability to lift up the food dishes with one hand and pass them around on either side upon request. Also they need to have a keen awareness of cultural expectations and sensibilities. When an American sitting on one end requests the middler to fill the plate with a spoonful of rice, you do just that. When an Indian person requests half a spoon they really mean two or three but are too shy to say so.

There’s an unspoken skill to Seating Arrangements. At a birthday party, you seat the person or people the birthday person is most at ease with (their choice- not yours) closest to them. If you seat a fake friend or an annoying person next to them- they will get up and move. Hosts on the ends across from eachother. Reason: the hosts can overlook anything needed from their end to the middle and the other host on the other end can do the same. At the Corners, the quieter people that prefer to observe and eat quietly rather than engage in extrovert conversations. Middle- the ones capable of serving. Know how to serve a plate, carve a roast, pair a wine, include others in conversations. The diplomats that won’t start a feud at dinner with topics best left for before or after dinner. Larry is an enigma. An extrovert at the wrong time and an introvert also at the wrong times.., not sure where I would sit Larry at the table…. Perhaps on a chair with wheels so he can be free to roam around?
