Inflammation is not evil and is actually an important biological process that keeps us alive at times. But that also doesn't mean it's an angel and we should let it run rampant. In actuality, the truth lies somewhere in between these two extremes, and it's important to understand the context of the inflammation, and also its source before you decide to do anything about it.
Want to OVERCOME chronic pain? Go here: regenerativepe...
If you’re new to my channel, my name is Dr. Drew Timmermans, ND, RMSK. I’m the founder of Regenerative Performance in Gilbert, AZ, specializing in interventional orthobiologics, which is just a fancy way of saying we help people reclaim their life from chronic pain without steroids or surgery. We challenge the conventional pain management approaches by addressing the root causes of chronic pain.
How I got here…
22 yrs old: Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario.
23 yrs old: Competed as a long sprinter, anchoring the 4x400m relay to a silver medal at the Canadian national championships, contributing to Western's first national title in men's track and field.
23 yrs old: Started working as a personal trainer for GoodLife Fitness in Canada, quickly becoming one of the Top 10 Personal Trainers nationwide.
23 yrs old: Herniated two discs in my lower back, ending my track and field career and sending me into a multi-year battle with chronic pain.
24 yrs old: Enrolled at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now Sonoran University of Health Sciences) after discovering my passion for naturopathic medicine.
26 yrs old: Still battling chronic back pain, I finally became pain-free through a platelet-rich plasma injection.
28 yrs old: Graduated and become a licensed naturopathic doctor.
29 yrs old: Completed the first-ever residency in regenerative medicine and integrative pain management at the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine.
29 yrs old: Co-founded Regenerative Performance to help people with chronic pain just as I had been helped.
Today: We help people who have chronic joint pain reclaim their life with cutting edge treatments like platelet rich plasma, and stem cell therapy.
To everyone battling chronic pain, remember that your story is still being written.
Never give up.
Dr. Drew Timmermans, ND, RMSK
FULL DISCLOSURE: I create content to share my expertise and help as many people as possible. My goal is to build trust and provide valuable information to those seeking alternative solutions for chronic pain management and bring in new patients into our practice.

Hey so your video out of 20 ive watched actual helped me understand. Im wondering I got bursitis in my heel right foot i put heel lifts and have been managing it icing and drinking water the inflammation has gone down , but im questioning if i should take inflammatory medications to speed up the healing i have been on a good diet since January ive definitely seen a difference but idk i feel like i need it. Also have been taking herbal teas and taking cologne powder to also provide increase in protein synthesis.

anti-inflammatory medications don't speed up healing. So if you're looking to improve healing, you should consider things like vitamin c, BPC-157, stem regen, collagen powder, and PRP injections

"Finding the seed" to the immflamation would definitely be the priority.

i have a slap tear on my shoulder..wondering if i should suppress it ? they told me i needed surgery :(
@DrewTimmermansND
@DrewTimmermansND 2 жыл бұрын
Inflammation suppression with a slap tear is not a good idea. It does nothing to improve your outcome long term. Get on a good mobility program from Kelly Startett (thereadystate.com), look into prp injections to see if you're a candidate, and watch some of my videos on BPC-157 and connective tissue healing. You may or may not truly need surgery, I would have no idea unless I saw you as a patient, but there's a lot you can do on your own.

Can Curcumin be taken after prp therapy?
@DrewTimmermansND
@DrewTimmermansND 2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the situation, but most of the time we don't stop curcumin in our patients undergoing prp injections

We use the InfiniWell brand as they use the arginate salt. We specifically use the Original Formula capsules without the SNAC. We have a 20% patient discount code on our website regenerativeperformance.com/supplements (code is RP20).

Hello, can you please share if you have any insights whether curcumin has the same benefits as Ibuprofen(which I know is very dangerous in the long run) at easing anxiety, depression and OCD?
