I hear different conflicting information about using BPC by patients having early cancerous tumours (non malignant). Some say the angiogenesis can cause progression, some say just the opposite. What is your view doc?
@DrewTimmermansND8 ай бұрын
benign and malignant tumors have to be thought of separately here. I don't think the angiogenesis effect of BPC-157 is as systemic as people think, but the truth is that we need better research to know this. However, in cases of malignancy, my view is one of precaution, and we don't recommend BPC-157 in active cancer. Doesn't mean that's right, it's just our current stance especially because I don't treat patients with cancer.

I'm terribly sorry to hear this (and welcome to my channel!). BPC-157 can help with the pain associated with sciatica and disc issues yes, but it depends on how large the bulge/herniation is that is compressing your nerve root. In our clinic, our preferred approach (because it works way better than BPC-157) is epidural and/or disc injections of either PRP or stem cell therapy.

@DrewTimmermansND4 ай бұрын
Yikes, you likely need something stronger than BPC if this is your third time. You should explore PRP or stem cell therapy injected directly into the ACL under xray guidance. This is what we do in our clinic. For BPC-157, the 700mcg capsule you have is a high enough dose. You could take twice per day on empty stomach.
@lachiemodica82834 ай бұрын
@@DrewTimmermansNDcheers for the reply doc. How often? Everyday for a month? Also I’m from AUS and tried to book a zoom call with you, but it got canceled!!
@DrewTimmermansND4 ай бұрын
The most common starting dose we use with patients is 500mcg, once per day on an empty stomach. The time of day may not matter, but it may also be better when taken before bed. We normally have patients take BPC-157 for at least a month to determine if they see improvements, but sometimes it takes longer to see effects as tissue healing takes time. We then have patients continue on the BPC-157 for several months, and then we might trial taking them off to see if their symptoms remained improved or if they regress. If they regress, we put them back on it. If your discovery call with me got canceled, it's likely because your verbiage suggested that you wanted peptide dosing advice, which is not the purpose of those calls. Those calls are only to see if you're a candidate to see me in my clinic for PRP or stem cell therapy. If you're willing to travel to Arizona for PRP or stem cells, then resubmit.

I saw in prior comments that you have your patients recovering from ruptured tendons use BPC-157 and Thymosin Beta 4 in conjunction. Is the Thymosin Beta 4 oral or injection to which you prescribe your patients? Unless you are injecting it down onto the bone and into the mild tearing in your extensor tendon, subq in your belly is just as good. The insulin needles wont go deep enough, so just do subq belly
@elitefitness3413 жыл бұрын
@@DrewTimmermansND Why not do sub q near the elbow or IM into the forearm? I ask because I am going to use this for my damaged shoulder (IM) and oral, and IM into my forearm for my elbow.
@DrewTimmermansND3 жыл бұрын
Because when you inject it IM or subQ it goes into the blood and goes systemic. Injecting close to pain doesn't put thr peptide into the actual tissue that is causing pain, unless you have detailed anatomical knowledge and know how to inject safely into the proper ligaments. There's no improvement for injecting it close to the area of pain compared to another area in the body

I cant say if it's safe for you specifically or not as you're not my patient sorry. What I can say is that I haven't ever seen any good evidence that BPC-157 is carcinogenic or can cause cancer thats in remission to come back. The angiogenesis properties are not widespread throughout the whole body, they only appear to be active in the damaged tissues. Hey doc, I'm 22 years old and have been experiencing Hoffa's Syndrome (fat pad impingement) in both my knees on and off for about a year now. My most recent flare-up was roughly two weeks ago (3/1/2021) and occurred after having ramped up my cycling training. I'm an active person (hiking, cycling, swimming, slacklining), and the sports med physician I recently saw believes this is an overuse injury. I was assigned PT, and am working on various exercises to hopefully address the root of my anterior knee pain. I am curious of this peptide, and whether you have heard of its use for Hoffa's Syndrome? Currently I have prescriptions for Mobic (oral) and Diclofenac (topical) but have yet to experience any major improvements. Please let me know if you think BPC-157 would help. Thanks, Sam

Hi doc, your channel is great & has tons of helpful info! I want to treat my chronic right elbow lateral epicondylitis. In your experience, what is the #1 best way to get the BPC re-constituted solution to that area? Oral under tongue, SQ belly button, SQ near the tendon insertion point (since theres so little blood flow in that area), or IM into the tendon. Im willing to do whichever will be MOST effective regardless of pain/discomfort. Ive seen people go SQ near the insertion point on the outer elbow and then rub it in, but thinking about how fragile these amino/peptides are, isnt there a chance Id be destroying it when I massage it in? Thanks!

BPC-157 isn't anti-inflammatory in the traditional sense, meaning it doesn't suppress inflammation. Hi Doc, thank you for the very informative video! I wanted to ask whether the 500mcg oral dose is intended to be taken once or twice per day? I assume that it's intended to be a single dose of 500mcg once per day, but on the label of the product you recommend, it says "take 1 tablet twice daily". Also, do you have any specific recommendation about whether to choose capsule or tablet? I am purchasing it because of a very painful golfer's elbow tendinosis in the medial epicondyle, which is preventing me from lifting and from many other everyday activities. I have been dealing with a minor ulnar nerve compression in the cubital tunnel for 6 years, with no major issue (there is no nerve subluxation nor actual nerve demage), but in the last few months I have developed this very bad golfer's elbow, which I suspect could be also caused by the ulnar nerve compression, given the proximity of the two areas and the fact that the nerve is slightly hypertrophic right in that area (9-10 mm2 diameter). I am from Europe, so I will try to buy the product you recommend by shipping it to a relative in the U.S. and then make him ship it again to me over here. In case it might not be possible, do you know any reputable source for purchasing in Europe? Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge!
