i was at a wedding last year and this exact release was on the bar...couldn't believe the $300 price tag paid by the bride/groom. i met with some master distillers in mexico last year and they mentioned most clear aged tequilas do include additives as the process to remove color also removes flavor. fortaleza still strength and tapatio 110 are sub $65 (in texas) and blow this away! would love to see you guys review siembra valles ancestral blanco (specifically the ancestral). msrp is around $120 usd but at 50% abv and no expense spared in the production process this stuff was amazing!!! highly recommend if you can find a bottle. cheers

Diffuser junk! On point review! Try G4 which is made with rainwater and Fortaleza from the Sauza family. History of it is awesome

@@CuriosityPublic : I had Fortaleza Añejo at a bar the other night on your recommendation and it was very good. I appreciated the natural flavors but still not quite worth the price for me. I'm looking forward to trying G4 when I get the chance.

Great review. I’d probably give this 20 points. I have $30 bottles of Tequila that blow this out of the water. So terrible, artificial, and pretentious. This is literally a marketing masterclass spirit. Pure and simple.

Wow, I do not think that I have seen a review where you are all so close in your point totals. At $300 I it would have to have a review like "Tears of Llorona" to make me want to spend that much money. I will stick with El Tesoro Blanco which I can get locally for $29.

personally the joven was fire, though i got the set for ~$150. super smooth with a subtle pineapple flavor, really nice. didn't taste like additives to me and i'm usually really sensitive to them. that said, their $40-50 blanco gets you 95% there, no need to pay $100-200 more for the joven. the two glasses in the gift set are pretty fire though lol, i still use them for champagne and tequilas. honestly i'd say the joven is worth $80-200, the gift set worth $120-220. would never pay $300 for the joven, especially with the blanco tasting nearly identical, lacking some of the anejo complexity, for only $40-50. also funny because the anejo was $80 and kind of sucked.

It's a $165 bottle in duty free Mexico. Almost half US imported price. But that's besides the point. It is an overpriced bottle in their product line. Their standard blanco is great and perfect for casual sipping during a long party.

It has some of the caramel/butterscotch of the Anejo, without too much sweetness, smoother than a silver or reposado, with a little more body and a little more complex but not to the Anejo/Double Anejo level. Probably one of the smoothest tequilas you will have for people that aren't tequila drinkers. I prefer more oomph, more sweetness, more of the barrel aged flavor of a great anejo or double anejo. But don't let these non-tequila experts tell you its not good.

That you get when it made by a diffuser product poor Quality just plain garbage and they think they can charge but absurd price for it absolutely crazy. Want Quality at a reasonable price try Fortaleza blanco repo or añejo you will mot no wrong.
