Longest conversation with George I've seen his stories are endlessly fascinating.
@xdviper45182 жыл бұрын
George speaking about the difficulties of writing and how you need to write your idea, but also finish what you write, was so nice to hear. I’ve dabbled in writing, have pages and pages of notes on ideas about this story or that story. I have a hard time actually starting and or finishing a story idea though. So, hearing him talk about that process was a bit inspiring. Makes me want to continue pursuing my story ideas.
@ragnabolt6832 жыл бұрын
You should! I suffer from the same problem, but I just finished my first chapter of my rough draft! 3,000 words. It took me AGES to do this, so I am quite proud even though it is crap. You can do it; you just need to power past the inner critic that wants you to be perfect.
@xdviper45182 жыл бұрын
@@ragnabolt683 Seems like it is a common issue amongst writers and those that aspire to be writers.
@jimr94992 жыл бұрын
Actually starting out is the most difficult part for me, personally. Like, I'll have all the ideas, even written out in some cases. But making a decision on how to actually begin a story? Damn near impossible for me.
@ragnabolt6832 жыл бұрын
@@jimr9499 You’ve got to write through the crap honestly. That’s the part that sucks.
@jamesgurnell228 Жыл бұрын
The point of a first draft isn't to write something good, it's to write something. You have the revision process to tidy it up. Keep at it!

6 days? Either Kevin just made this public or KZbin has not been recommending it because I get recommended every single one of Kevin's podcasts. Instantly. And I watch them all. Although I missed the Nintendo direct too. I didn't even know it was happening, which is funny because I've watched all of them for the last 6 to 8 years. Thanks, KZbin

Same here. Glad I'm not crazy. I was wondering if I had just missed it. I just saw it in my recommendeds. I had been checking Kevin's channel page all week to see if he uploaded this, but KZbin lists the uploaded video and the live streams separately now on the channel page, so when I checked the uploaded videos, it didn't show it posted there. I finally noticed the "Live" tab, clicked over and there it is. So maybe it was there all week? I don't know. Either way, glad I finally get to see it!

@b1bbscraz3y2 жыл бұрын

@xXNitemareXx Жыл бұрын
3 minutes in and Kevin dropped like 5 F-bombs, then talks about penises. The person at KZbin HQ that reviews the videos only ever pays attention to the first 5 or 10 minutes of an upload and will limit it if the subject matter is "graphic" within that time frame. By KZbin's standards, foul language and sexual language will get you limited and demonetized automatically. They won't even bother to review the rest of the video if they are already encountering foul language and mature subject matter within the first 10 minutes, even if by doing so they would see the full context of the material. If it APPEARS to be bad when it isn't, they just won't allow the upload to go through and instead issue you an unfairly biased warning strike and ask you to delete it and re-upload without the offensive content. They will not advertise the video on the home page, they will cancel notifications, they will take the video out of the algorithm rotation so it doesn't appear at the top of your subscription feed, and they will stop you from generating and collecting revenue from the ads on that video. That's why no one noticed when the video was uploaded that there was a new video, and why some others couldn't see the video for a while on the channel page when they visited it. This is also why you see other creators use abbreviated words and speak in code because there is a long list of "bad words" that will get your video struck down immediately, even if you're using the words benignly or educationally. For example: abuse, violence, sexual assault, murder, suicide, excessive use of curse words, January 6th/insurrection, Covid19/pandemic/Pfizer, Trump/Amber Heard/Johnny Depp/Jeffrey Epstine/Ghislaine Maxwell. Creators who like to report on the news, current events, or law and crime, have the worst time trying to stay in line and not say the "naughty words" when making educational or commentary videos on current events or popular high-profile topics.
