There's just no way Kevin didn't know Vancouver was in Canada by the time he told his parents. He would've had to mail the application in, and would have received his acceptance letter, both of which would've had a Canadian address on 'em. I love Smith, and I know he's all about telling a good story over a purely factual exchange, but this one's just too obvious.
