Curious What it Takes to Prepare Boat for Transport ...

Curious how they transport oversize boats we prepared this Pilot Boat and it measured to tall because the measurements on the drawing we were provided were wrong. It created a bit of re-work because we had to have the mast lowered the opposite way to get the right clearance for bridges. We also had a terrible time removing the hardware that was 13 years old due to corrosion!

What kind of corrosion do you get when you mix two different types of metals? Plus add 13 years of exposure to salt water 😬 yes it was a struggle trying to get some of these bolts out!

Tonight is what we consider a school night! We have 2 boats that we need to check out asap. So do we venture out on Thursday evening or do it in the pouring rain tomorrow? We decide to go out tonight ….. check our boats and we ended up saving one from being struck … (video coming) after all this excitement we say dinner time! We go to the White Tarpon we order then this cool guy Jim sits next to us! We are minding our own business…. Then he says where’s the ice tea that you love to drink! A couple of years ago we drove our RV from San Diego to key west, staying at Boyds ultimately going on a tour to the Dry Tortuga's. I could not take the humidity and heat and that was in March/April. I was station in the Navy in Mayport for over 3 yrs but damn, KW is hot.

Omg you have no idea this past summer we had like 2 weeks that felt near 113-115’ it was unbearable …. Our cameras couldn’t even keep up! They kept over heating. Our office is just down the road from Boyd’s 😊

Happy holidays, me and my wife traveled to Key west for our honeymoon in 1984 . Since 1984 we have been doing our vacation’s (fishing vacation lol) in the keys almost every year and now that we are in our sixty’s we come later in the year and stay for about a month in our rv.

IMO Kroil is best and what I use on the important stuff...PB blaster for everything else since Kroil is $$$.

Agree completely .... we love the Kroil but our job was still very hard it didn't help much on the corroded hardware we had to cut several bolts.

I love Kroil works great and I agree the best way for straping down that mast a block under with a block in front and behind the plate and strap front to back and side to side and well yall know I want to come down to key west lol 😆

nut buster made in Alberta Canada, ok story motor with pulley, tried wd, not luck using pulley puller,. poured nut buster put in truck and drove to town to buy new motor , was hoping they could remove pulley, got to town and picked up motor by the pulley and it came off in my hand, shit luck or did nut buster do the job hmmmm we will never know ya
