My 1st thought when Zak woke up in the church was "yeah he's back now." He's now in the same world as everyone else. Would be cool if he reaches cloud and is like yo did you save her? While Cloud is talking to a tree and then realises what happened 😂

I really want to bump into Zack in a random spot in the world, but related to the story, maybe he's wearing a black robe to blend woth the other Sephiroth clones. Then we have this big dump of info about what happened when they met to fight Sephiroth and then he just joins the party and we all take it from there and figure all of this out together

I doubt we'll be seeing Zack and Cloud together in the main scenario, except for the endings. The remake trilogy has kept very close to the original plot points, except when it comes to the final chapters. Having Zack join the party with Cloud in Midgar I think is something that would drastically alter the plot. They will likely keep it so Zack's appearances are a vehicle for exploring the philosophy of the world and the lore, but without stepping too heavily on the toes of the main game. I would love it though for them to make Zack's segments more like "Laguna flashbacks" in FF8. If we can get some actual gameplay where Zack and Aerith team up to help the main party from their own world, that'd be great IMO.

i think this might actually be the case, because one of the big things we see in all the "fringe timelines", the ones where Zack is alive and the world is ending, is that the yellow flowers are dead. they keep showing dead flowers in the timelines where the rift is in the sky and everyone is prepping for the end of the world. but in the last scene where Zack wakes up in the church, guess what they specifically decide to focus the camera on in several shots? the fact that the yellow flowers are alive and flourishing. it's not the most bulletproof evidence but it gives me an inkling that maybe Zack IS in the main timeline with our characters.

@@AxolottieVT The flowers in the church are always blooming because it's a special place where the lifestream is at its strongest. It also could be a portal between worlds too. The flowers were blooming there even in Zack's fight where Meteor is about the rip the Church apart. However another piece of evidence that Zack won't be in the main world, is that Elmyra says to Zack that the flowers are blooming again in her garden by her house, and they say is this evidence that Aerith is about to awaken? I think Aerith will awaken in Zack's world in Part 3, because her life was spared. Aerith asked the planet what she had to do to, and Cloud is basically her answered prayer, because he saved her (of course he won't get to be with her because she was saved in another world from him.)

This is peak Square treating the players as a delusional cloud affected by jenova and mako poisoning. It will create for a more dramatic part 3 once we all find out the story all converges to the same plot as 1997. And that Aerith unfortunately is still in the great beyond. People can believe the great beyond or heaven or whoever we is another “multiverse” but the truth is they’re not gonna rewrite the main plot beats in the end. And then it’ll be canon to AC

They said that Remake will give Cloud a happy ending which most definitively is not Advent Children, and honestly when i think of Cloud and happy ending i can only think of three possible things: - getting rid of Sephiroth in his life - Aerith surviving and him having a happy life with her - Cloud overcoming Aerith's loss while also getting rid of Sephiroth/Jenova and living a happier life with or without Tifa I think that's probably one of the things they are going for but i just wish it's not "Everyone is alive because Multiverse, Sephiroth is gone and everyone lived happily ever afther".

After Cloud has his breakdown / awakening they tie in the origin of the fusion sword and from that point forward Cloud has the ability / move-set to dual wield with the Fusion Sword equipped. Probably asking for too much but it would be a great way to change his play style. They could even utilize Gilgamesh for this considering his lore / history with various weapons.

Great video, very informative! Correct me if I am wrong, but I remember reading that the Ultimania confirmed that Cloud deflected Sephiroth's sword, and that Cloud did not experience what appears to be a form of a dissociative episode. Hence, Aerith survived in an alternate world, and died in another, as per the motif of the green and rainbow lights.

Could take up to 4-5 hours which could be long enough when you take the 'Complete' version of the film into equation. Even the Buster Sword needs to be updated like in Crisis Core Reunion too... 😄

Well I don't think the Aerith at the end of the game is just a hallucination from Cloud because she's responding to everyone in the group, and very much in tune to the emotional wavelength of everyone. When Cid asks "so what did Aerith actually do anyway," Aerith turns back for a moment and shows an expression of sadness - probably because it hit her there that she's no longer physically part of the group that means so much to her. Then Aerith does put a comforting hand on Red, which he senses. And she follows that with another regretful expression when looking at Tifa who is still grieving the loss of her friend. So that Aerith is definitely not acting like a disconnected hallucination or Jenova illusion.

I theorize that the cores within the black whispers that appear in Rebirth are all white materias that have been collected by Sephiroth from all the versions of Aerith he’s slain. Conversely, the white whispers are controlled by Aerith and contain the white materias she has passed to herself from timelines she’s evaded Sephiroth.

Act I: Three friends go into battle. One is captured One flies away The one that is left becomes a hero. I think that this part of the Loveless poem is represented in the 3 choices Zack has to make. 1) Zack is captured by fate "Screw it, the world's about to end anyhow" and becomes prisoner to the thought of his own demise. 2) Zack runs from his fate but remains haunted by it, talking about how he wants to take back control. "See ya never!" 3) Zack chooses neither option. He doesn't want to decide gets to live and who gets to die. "How the hell am I supposed to choose?" And this is the Zack that "becomes a hero", who reunites with Cloud, and is saved by Aerith from the Meteor in his final battle. This choice is also echoed in Cloud's final line to Sephiroth in Advent Children when Sephiroth asks what does he cherish most. Cloud replies that there is nothing he doesn't cherish. The heroic choice is to reject the dichotomy that makes you a puppet. The correct choice in the lore of FF7 is not to despair before your fate, nor is it to run from it. But to face it with head high, as evidenced in Aerith's dreamworld of happy couples and shopkeepers, which differs from Sephiroth's nihilistic world where everyone has given up hope (turning the lifestream black.)

Nomura also confirmed that Cloud DID deflect Septhiroth; and mentioned the team knowing about the fans that want an Aerith lives route and that's part of the reason for that happening. And not in a trying to backhand that sentiment. Which goes towards a branch path forming at that point, especially with statements from Kitase later. There's confirmation via details that multiple Aerith's do exist. Now going back to the aforementioned Kitase part, it reinforces the idea of them checking off the boxes but also having their path; including Aerith's fate. Cause there's no way to frame FF7-OG as having or leading to a "happy end"; nor is there a "happy end" where Aerith is dead. I'd wager that if they intend to still go into AC as it stands, then it'll likely be the branch-Aerith that lived via Cloud's deflecting Sephiroth. And I've waited 20+ years for this universe to get the good end route to go alongside the bad end route for a sense of completion and balance. Also this idea about the game's big thing being "loss" is such a warp on the idea and paints it in the fatalistic/nihilistic edgelord light; when in reality the game presents more happy and light moments of hope than the dark and depressing side. Even AC had that at the end to try its best at some degree of at least neutral ending. The reality is that there are two sides to the coin and the message thus far has been incomplete and warped as a result leading to an entire array of people that glorify at edgy death. The other side of that coin and message is "life should be valued and fought for tooth & nail" w/ Aerith surviving due to Cloud having done so to speak every flag to save Aerith. "Death is a natural thing that should be accepted as the turn of a page, and life is something that should be valued and fought for". THAT is the FF7 that I've held onto for 20+ years waiting to see realized via the slotting in of the other side to bring things to a balance. And that's what a good portion of the things from the Ultimania I've seen go towards. Because of Aerith not having a major role in the territory that part 3 covers, they'll get to keep the Schrodinger's Cat in place and her ultimate fate can happen at some later point in part 3.

"Cause there's no way to frame FF7-OG as having or leading to a "happy end"; nor is there a "happy end" where Aerith is dead" This goes so against everything FFVII that is just disgusts me. "when in reality the game presents more happy and light moments of hope than the dark and depressing side" Yeah, because the whole point is that the bad moments don't suddenly make the good moments impossible. You thinking that it's all or nothing is you being edgy, not the game, nor the people who understand that Aerith needs to die. "Also this idea about the game's big thing being "loss" is such a warp on the idea and paints it in the fatalistic/nihilistic edgelord light" Yeah, brilliant attempt at trying to flip the script and polishing a turd, but it's quite simple. If a character dies with the express intention of showing a death that is realistic and irreversible. Then ANY path you think off to reverse it, spits on that. No, saying "well there are other worlds where they do survive and now we can pretend like she's still here" doesn't make it ok, you're just reaching. The simple fact is this. In FFVII Cloud had to accept reality. Aerith died back in 1997, that is reality. Fans of Aerith refused to accept that reality for over 20 years. If you give them ANY kind of living Aerith you've betrayed your original message and have essentially said that it's fine to not accept reality. You can insert a theme about fighting for life and STILL having Aerith die. In case you haven't noticed, Cloud getting to terms with failure is a pretty big part of FFVII, and the only way you can think thats "edgy or dark" is if you're a child who thinks that a single failure automatically means there is no happiness. Who does that remind me off? Oh yeah, of Cloud before he finished his character arc. You can have a positive game with people fighting for life with a happy end where people still end up failing and dying, you can't have Aerith survive in any capacity and yet still pretend that this story has anything to do with acceptance and reality. Good try trying to muddy the waters, but we're not having it.
@CrimsonXE
@CrimsonXE Ай бұрын
@@DutchDread Funny cause the death ideation that permeates your section of things that insists on edgelord b.s. and that FF7 has to cater to the 20% dark OG moments disgust me. And I doubt you have a clue about what FF7 actually is or stands for, instead as per usual warping it into edgelord b.s. that ignores so much of the rest of the universe. Even peak nihilistic/fatalistic AC pulls out some amount of light in its end via Aerith's healing Geostigma from Cloud & those in at least Midgar region; as well as having Sephiroth temporarily taken down again. But ones like you take the 20% dark as the entire thing. Hell the best parts of Rebirth were the 95% middle that were more light-hearted and just the gang going through a journey that dipped into some darker territories, but still maintained a lightness to them. THAT is the FF7 that I've had 20+ years having respect for, because if it were the dark edgelord b.s. that some paint it as; I'd have dropped it faster than a hot coal. Let me just go ahead and address this latter part: no, actually Aerith does NOT *need* to die. - Sacrifice of caster's life is NOT a requirement to use Holy - Even when Holy was unleashed against Meteor it didn't stop it - Even after its unleashed and the entirety of the ending of OG, Geostigma (likely Jenova) STILL is around killing people and turning them against the planet thinking its what's doing the killing and Sephiroth manifests AGAIN. - There's not any events that require her death as for the most part the latter part of the game goes on without touching on it too much - By all accounts the OG's death still exists as its own thing and that bad end route still exists, there's no need for Remake-trilogy to cover that same ground over again - The way the writers have set up things gives them a Schrodinger's Cat where they can set Aerith to the side to check off the OG boxes, while also still having the ability to have her step back in once that's done. Even Cloud's mental brokenness can still be dived into, since as he said he has multiple people inside his head which can easily be taken into multiverse concept as him seeing multiple branchlines; including OG one where Aerith did die and branch where she didn't. Which actually plays MORE into Cloud's mental instability and even the audience's knowledge of his instability; because there's a portion of people that dismiss away any and everything he sees due to it. Even though the series hasn't been shy about things being how he sees them to some degree. The giant tear in the sky? That is a real thing. Other worlds? Again a real thing. Other versions of characters? Once again real, even more so as multiple Aeriths has been confirmed via Ultimania. Cloud deflecting Sephiroth? Confirmed as having happened via Ultimania. So yeah, Cloud is mentally fked up; but all that means is that the writers have a new tool in their kit to fk with the audience. Also no bad things don't make good things impossible; however assuming this is reference to the "bad end route". Nothing in the OG -> AC route fits with a "good end", they try to some degree at the end of it; but certain things still don't alter that its a "bad end route". Aerith being dead alone is enough to disqualify it from a "good end" by most understandings of the concept. Its also so hilarious having some try to hurl the edge card at someone that's pro-Aerith lives and pro-good end over death ideation and fatalism. Like no, you clearly don't have a clue on what most would deem edge. Maybe you could have this work with "contrarian", but not edge. Um moron, what in Rebirth's clashing scene suggest "realistic and irreversible" especially in everything shown of this multiverse. You literally had Sephiroth being the one rewriting reality to have Aerith die in at least one branchline in order to check the box off. Why does Zack post-that scene tell Cloud to "save her", when narratively if she were dead it'd be too late? Why not only show the deflection but then also confirm that Cloud DID indeed deflect Sephiroth? Why have Aerith show up in the final battle with Sephiroth where he states underestimating her? The reality is that Cloud was given warning about Aerith being danger, he DID arrive on time, he DID deflect Sephiroth, there IS a multiverse, and there ARE multiple Aeriths. Also the only ones that spit on the OG story that already did the whole "Aerith dies" route are ones like you that warp the core idea and completely ignore the other side of the coin to make it "death ideation incel edition". The ignored part being about valuing and fighting for life. Also I don't have to reach, just look at everything presented, which has only been reinforced by the Ultimania interviews. Since they seem to be doing exactly what I thought they would in keeping Schrodinger's Cat in place by not confirming Aerith's fate. You'd think if there wasn't anything further going on there, it'd be simple enough for them to just confirm it was indeed her death; but nope. Um no, moron. Remake-trilogy is at this point its own thing that runs in parallel to OG. So sure OG-Aerith died, doesn't translate to trilogy-Aerith doing the same; in fact it pushes for the exact opposite to present a NEW and INTERESTING story that offers a balance to the overall story/universe of FF7. Also let's get this shit straight: It ISN'T a betrayal of OG or its message, its not what YOU want or what YOU have warped that to be. I write myself and the thing that OG put in place for me was that I would NEVER kill off a character of mine. Not any kind of ideation of death or praise towards killing a character. Hell as I mentioned already even fking AC pulls the hope card in its ending section. There is nothing wrong with actually choosing to not go with edgelord b.s. Also no you can't have Aerith die yet also try to push "fight for life tooth and nail". Hell people like you's b.s. about it shows exactly that in saying completely discounting the idea of a character living, because you'd rather wrap yourself in the notion of immutable death. On top of that R-Trilogy is running alongside OG, the only way for it to "betray" it would be for it to overwrite it. Now you want to talk about betrayal, if Aerith were to be revealed as dead over lived in another branchline or "beyond life or death state"; THAT would reflect back on Rebirth as having betrayed everything that Remake set up. The hopeful new path, the "f*ck fate", the other side of the coin to complete FF7 with balance, etc. Actually no grown ass adults take both sides of the coin into themselves, especially ones that actually have had to fking deal with shit in life. Your type on the other hand are like emo teens that never grew out of a fascination with death. OG & AC are NOT a good or happy end. There is no good or happy end that involves Aerith being dead by the fking nature of the definition of "happy" and "good". Even more so in the Rebirth's case where a reality rewrite was used to setup a Schrodinger's Cat scenario. Yeah, you damn well can actually; because newsflash moron OG STILL EXISTS AND IS REFERENCED TO CONFIRM ITS STILL EXISTING. So there already exists that path and story, now is time for the flip of the coin. Also don't even fking come at me someone with a family member going through damn stage 4 cancer treatment about acceptance and reality you pathetic little sh*t. You want fking reality, lets go into fking reality. Its watching someone go through having their body wrecked via a poison to kill a mutation within them for MONTHS if not YEARS to keep on FIGHTING FOR LIFE; instead of just accepting the death sentence via pain medicines and whatever time they have with letting it run wild. Yeah, there's acceptance that eventually they will hit the end of the road and it should be seen as a turning of a page in their existence; but I'll be fking d*mned if I'm not going to keep being the one rooting for them to keep doing the painful treatments in order to KEEP FIGHTING. I'll toss even more here: 3 out of my 4 grandparents are dead. 1 lung cancer, 1 stomach cancer, and 1 natural causes after suffering with Alzheimer's where she didn't even remember who I was for her last years of life. The woman that I saw as a pseudo-grandparent also has died in recent years, but that was just natural causes. So once again don't try to come at me with the notion that I don't know about loss, acceptance; I just happen to have both sides of the d*mn coin. I'll continue to fight like hell and push others to fight like hell and value life, not worship at the alter of death cause "incel logic" like it being "more realistic". Funny that you try to hurl others as denying reality, when in reality its your ass that's doing that in ignoring things put into the d*mn story presented; statements made by people working on the project including one from Kitase stating wanting a happy end for the characters; and hell even them essentially alluding to the sizable section of the audience that wants Aerith to live i interviews. I don't know what the future is, but at least I can lean on those to back me up; instead of trying to lean on a 20+ year old already told story that you've completely warped the message of to death ideation and edgelord b.s.

Best comment ever. The devs know that a considerable part of the FF7 community is not built of fatalistic nimrods whose only understanding of this story is the loss part. The desire for a better ending to this series was always latently present. But now that the game receives a real remake, it also stirs a new hope for a new path of deliverance. Also don't forget that the rather popular wish to save Aerith is as old as the OG. It just has been lost in the mists of time but regained momentum with the production of the remake trilogy and the newly introduced elements of "breeching fate" The tenor of this series is clearly hope over loss. I'd be surprised and honestly very disapointed if they put so much work in to this whole buildup for absolutely nothing.

@@dragos-alexandrustefan9215 I love that Nomura actually acknowledged that exact sentiment is what was in their mind with the deflection, not mocking the idea of Aerith lives people. And its like if one considers Remake to in part be a sequel, then it makes full sense for them to deliver a final good end. To finally give the entire saga a balanced end that fits the balanced story, which certain ones do try to make out as this massively defeatist depression train. They could still go either direction and even sort of play into both camps via an "Aerith reached a state beyond life or death", but I really hope they do take advantage of the creative freedom they've opened for themselves. I think I saw some poll on players wants either going into Remake or maybe after where the top want at iirc 36% of responders was an option to have Aerith live. And someone made an entire mod for OG-PC that returned an alive Aerith to the party to continue through the game. So I'm definitely aware that the "Aerith lives" crowd is around and has been around. Its just aggravating that so many YT'ers fall into the purist "Aerith must die" camp. Though some, really like 1, I do give a pass to cause he doesn't strike me as malicious or death ideation type; which is Max dood. I give him full credit of the concept of "Omni-Aerith", even if I disagree with his take on the ending of Rebirth. Even AC as depressing and cynical and fatalistic as it was for a good portion, STILL in the end tried for the best ending it could get as a sequel to lean into hope. Even Dirge which may be top of the list for depressing af stories, ends on a hopeful/non-fatalistic note. So the image painted about FF7 is truly a next level of gaslighting and potentially misremembering things.

My theory is that the lifestream has a simulation running multiple words. I tried making connections with the movie The Matrix. Sephiroth became a virus after his death, corrupting the system AKA Smith. Aerith is the one and the oracle! The promised land is the source! The wispers are agents! To me, if this is true. The simulation uses memories as a source. This is how the cetra got to the promised land. They created their own worlds and were able to travel between them.. and to me! Something similar to a simulation is the best way to go. If this theory is true, we will find out when the team goes to space!

The rainbows aren't Aerith, they appear when Sephiroth slashes between Cloud and Zack during the final fight. Sephiroth says something like "as world's come together, so too do they part", cuts the earth with the rainbow effect, and Cloud and Zack get separated again. It also happens when Zack is trying to choose between chasing down Biggs or going to Hojo, implying diversions in the timeline. Strongest theory right now is that rainbow just means a split in worlds/timelines. "The rainbow bridge" in Nordic mythology - the bifrost - must be used to traverse worlds, and FF7 has its share of Nordic references.

Calling it from now: Cloud is talking to the Aerith he saved from being impaled. It somehow created a stronger connection boosting her "signal" for Cloud to receive. Keep in mind the end of OG FF7 how Cloud Grabbed Aerith's hand and in Advent Children, the numerous crossover meetings they had. I think this Cloud is a combination of still Bat-Shit crazy from Jenova's manipulations, as well as ahead of his time in terms of spiritual enlightenment progress compared to OG's timeline.

I think it's Jenova. In the temple they clearly say she is the deceiver and took the form of dead loved ones to manipulate the cetra. Cloud is the only one given the perception that Aeris was saved while being fed visions of all sorts manipulated by Jenova the entire game. I say Jenova and not Sephiroth because based on the original he isn't involved at all until the north crater which I would think they would maintain the continuity there. Also in the final scene Aeris seems excited Cloud is going to chase Sephiroth which would be what she wants since he has the black materia.

@@sssmeee There has never been any confirmation about what Hojo did to Red XIII, but it can be safe to assume he probably put Jenova cells in him since that's sort of Hojo's thing... he loves putting Jenova cells in things. As such it would make sense that Red is the only other one besides Cloud who may feel Jenova's presence masquerading as Aerith. But while Cloud's mind is haywire, Red is less susceptible due to his species which seems to be Cetra-esque. Also the Aerith who appears in the final battle definitely isn't Jenova. She seems to be alive because of what Cloud did, defying the whispers and blocking the blade. The implication is that Aerith dies, but the love Cloud has for her, is what keeps her "around" rather than returning to the planet. This is explained in FF7R in the form of multiple worlds. Sephiroth seems to be hunting Aerith down in every single world, but we learn that at least in one world, Cloud's blade protects her. The other appearances of Aerith, by the pool and Tiny Bronco, however appear to not be the real Aerith. There is creepy music and she says things that contradict what she says earlier on in the chapter, about leaving Sephiroth to her, because on a Cetra can defeat him. And for Cloud to just focus on himself. This is completely different to what the possibly-fake Aerith says to Cloud at the end of the game, making him promise to defeat Sephiroth for her. Doesn't fit her character, but it does fit what Cloud wants to hear. He wants to hear that killing someone will put things right... because he is corrupted.

"Something very important to include, even though it wasn't in the original game" ~ To me, this suggests two things (both could be equally amazing, and I really really hope we get both in the next game). 1. When Cloud tells everyone to go and find their purpose for fighting in the original game before the final trip to the Northern Crater ~ I imagine it would be deeply impactful and a great way to round off every characters arc/give closure to everyone's stories if we get to see what each character goes off and does ~ Similarly to how impactful the 'trials' section of Rebirth was. 2. There is a brilliant scene in one of the books which takes place pretty much directly after the events of the original FF7 in which the party disbands and all go off in their own directions to live their own lives. I won't say too much more than that, but its worth reading the books for this scene alone. This always felt like the true ending of FF7 to me. Very bitter sweet. I would love to see this play out at the end of Part 3, and I imagine the developers would want to include it too.

Black smoke enters or exits his eyes (kinda hard to tell). Next thing we see is seph but the snake is completely uncoiled and cloud in nowhere to be seen. Then seph kills the snake. We see cloud sinking to the bottom, seph going to the top. Next thing you see is Aerith waking up Cloud. How did cloud get back to the surface? Seph didnt save him. At least we didnt see it. Even if Nomura's keeping his own devs in the dark...Aerith is alive. Cloud did not try to block Seph in OG. That is a new scene, because Rebirth is a different world having the Temple in the North, while the OG world had the Temple in the Southeast. At that moment, Seph pulled everyone into the OG world, and so they saw Aerith's OG death scene where Holy dropped into the lake. But that's not the real world Aerith dying. She has Holy and intends to use it to stop Meteor, meaning this isn't the OG Aerith who dropped it. Remember Cait Sith said he doesn't know if Seph is alive, dead, or something in between, but he intends to find out. Just as Seph appeared to Cloud, now Aerith can send messages to (and even body possess) this doomed world Cloud's in. Just as Cissnei doesn't feel Zack is dead, Cloud doesn't feel like Aerith is. Also, Zack went to Hojo to get Cloud a cure, implying a cure from (Deepground-captured) Genesis who Minerva healed. When Cloud remembered Zack, the girls realized the cure...is working. When Cloud sees Roche turn into a black robe, the girls say the degradation "won't happen" to him, as if they have a reason to believe it. They do: the cure. So Seph can't fully control Cloud when he protects Aerith.
@ash_yt0
@ash_yt0 Ай бұрын
The two scenes where Zack runs into Shinra soldiers IMO aren't really about a cure, or stopping a reactor bombing. They exist to highlight the 3 choices Zack has. 1) Save Cloud for Aerith's sake. 2) Save Biggs. 3) "How the hell am I supposed to choose?" 1 represents the "Prisoner" in Loveless. The one who becomes a prisoner to fate "Ah well the world's about to end anyway..." 2 represents the one who "Flies away" in Loveless. The one who flees from his fate because he wants the world to be one he chooses. "See ya never!!" 3 represents the one who "became a hero" in Loveless. Because he neither succumbs to fate, nor does he try to run from fate, he instead puts his fate in the hands of others. He is selfless, he doesn't try to decide who is more important, Biggs or Cloud. Instead he cherishes both Biggs, Cloud and Aerith equally. Which mirrors what Cloud tells Sephiroth in Advent Children "Tell me what you cherish most so that I may take it from you" - Cloud's reply is "I pity you, you still don't understand. There is nothing I don't cherish!" This mirror's Zack's line "How the hell am I supposed to choose?" because a hero is selfless, rather than controlling. They don't make decisions about who gets to live and who gets to die. It is this 3rd Zack, the heroic Zack, who is banished from Sephiroth's world, who fights alongside Cloud, and who is then pulled back into a safe world by Aerith (who was saved by Cloud.) Basically I think your idea about a cure for Cloud is wrong and missing the point. Cloud heals himself in the Mideel lifestream portion with the aid of Tifa. He doesn't need a cure, and Zack going after Hojo for a cure is presented as a poor decision and bad outcome.

Im going to straight up just deny all notions that these worlds are in the lifestream all together. 1. The lifestream is made of memories. As such no world could exist for a character whose memories do not exist within the lifestream to begin with. 2. As such Aerith and Sephiroths memories are not in the lifestream. Even though they are dead, dying does not mean your memories enter the lifestream. Giving up your memories is a choice, one Aerith has not done, and one Sephiroth mostly has not done, except memories of his appearance. Which is why he needs Cloud to never forget him. These games can not exist without a Sephiroth and Aerith from the future, even if its not a sequel which it obviously is. They have already shown enough evidence that Aerith has been talking to herself this whole time, and not the planet. 3. Zack has no memories from after his death, as such multiple worlds where he is alive can not exist and include moments past his death. 4. If these were worlds that don't exist, fabricated in the lifestream what is the point of their creation? Why waste mako, the lifestream, to create worlds that are not real. How can fake worlds create new worlds, or be merged together. That implies they exist and are real. How can fake worlds / dream worlds be merged into the real world. We know this has happened in Rebirth, especially since both Terrier and Beagle dogs are present in Junon when we get there. I really dislike people trying to explain the obvious in a more complex and less understandable way. Occam's Razor says the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. There are multiple timelines, and they don't need to all be parallel, which is fine. However we know for a fact parallel worlds exist because Chadley outright says there are after the Gilgamesh fight. Obviously if a parallel world has a fate changing event which creates a new world, that new world is no longer parallel.

I know clerith shippers will attack me for saying this, but I picture an older Aerith and Zack 20 years later, living in Gongaga on a farm with 5 children, 3 boys, 2 girls, with grandmother Elmyra and Zack's parents living there too. Zack is working the land with his two oldest sons as his oldest daughter and youngest son is out tending chocobos. Aerith and her youngest daughter come out of the house wrapped in Cetra like shawls calling out to Zack and family that it's time to eat. Zack with now a full beard and the rest of the children, some in their teens, wave that they are coming. Aerith's youngest daughter says "Mom, grandma and grandpa are saying hello!" Gilgamesh is always the same except in a few select instances. Naoki Yoshida claims that FF14's Gilgamesh is not the same one, but there are still hints that it is... The one in 11 is vague but there was speculation he is. He's pretty much a normal guy in 11 leading the town of Norg, but... he has all kinds of secrets and the Abyssea mini-expansions alluded to something... It's been a long time and I don't wanna revisit the wikis, especially since they audience that updated the 11 sections isn't very active now. But he is the same in 1 (Dawn of Souls), 4 (After Years), 5, 6(the GBA version), 7 Rebirth, 8, 9, 12, 13-2, and Dissidia: Duodecium. I'm not sure about his appearances in Type-0 and 15. I would assume the one in Stranger of Paradise is the same Gilgamesh because Dissidia pretty much establishes a weird situation where the world of FF1 is a crux world in Final Fantasy that has been copied and remixed in so many ways, and Gilgamesh has seen several versions of it. Also, 8 minutes in, I think you get super tripped up on what you're saying.
