I usually just reform them wet and loose with my fingers and let gravity and air do its job. Like my Jade is still surprisingly curly after all this time, but I really want to try this for tighter curls. Blue Amaya better watch out.

So, I like the video, but I would recommend using Dawn, not Palmolive. I collect several things, LOL, vintage Pyrex, vintage Barbie and Rainbow High. My favorite are vintage sad Barbies from the 60's… that are found in bad need of cleaning and repair. One thing I learned though from collecting vintage Pyrex, don't use Palmolive! Palmolive contains sodium xylenol sulfonate, much less can it not destroy the enamel surface of Pyrex, it can bleach out the color and is harmful to humans! If it can bleach enamel on Pyrex, imagine what it can do to doll hair! Why in the heck is sodium xylenol sulfonate in dish soap!!!! One other tip if you want really curly doll hair… You can use straws… bobby pin them in just like rollers, dip the hair into boiling water for a few seconds.. then let the hair dry and pull out the straws. Vise versa, if a doll has curly hair and you want it straight, you can dip it in boiling water for a few seconds, it will straighten. Most dolls have Saran hair, some nylon… Saran is a quicker dip than nylon, but it works for both. I have found that conditioning for new dolls is easier… you don't have to leave it in very long, like you did. If the doll is older, fill the hair with conditioner after you clean it, wrap her head in plastic wrap, (Saran Wrap, the same company that makes doll hair, LOL), let her sit for a few days before rinsing it out. I have been able to bring back some really bad dry hair doing this. But I do love you video's!!!

@@LilHickory No, on vintage Barbie's and Integrity I use Aveda for color treated hair... it cleans without stripping or changing the color. For conditioner I use Aveda Mens Pure Performance, which if you have to get out tangles, pile the hair full of it... the you can hold the hair from the base and get them out pretty easy. Doll hair oxidizes, lighter colors, specially blondes will get darker with time, red heads will get duller and sometimes black hair will turn red! So you don't want to put anything on them to speed up that process, since the hair is a form of plastic, there is no chance at re-dying it, unless you have a super old doll, some of them, like the china dolls from France had real hair, which kind of grosses me out!

I would recommend curlers for her, the only reason this works so well is because both Georgia and WB Skylar have curly hair 'naturally' and thus have a curl pattern already there

What hair type is she? Isn’t the cold water usually only for Kanekalon (the old flowy vintage barbie hair)? I did search on Google that RH doll using Nilon (it is the best hair aside Saran) I never had any Rainbow High doll but I would like to try these method for my Barbie, and idk if it’s gonna works especially the last pencil part.
