I just found your channel yesterday and I LOVE IT! ❤️❤️❤️ It’s really inspiring to see someone with the same skin tone as me embracing her kinky coils. I’ve always struggled with feeling like an imposter or like I’m “not black enough”, and with my hair that has sort of manifested into this irrational fear that people are going to call me out for trying too hard to “look black” or whatever. I mean it’s not completely irrational because Many times I have had other women tell me that my natural hair “doesn’t suit me”, or my braids “don’t suit me”, etc. One that really hurt was with my friends in high school. I got a curly perm once and my friends started saying how they wished they had my curls, and I was like, “um these are fake girl, like I have the same hair you have” (4b/c btw, like I’m talking tight ass, pen spring coils 😍), we went on and on, I kept trying to explain to her, and she just wasn’t having it. Then she got mad and was like, “why do you want to have our hair so much?!”. And that like really messed me up, like I expect ignorance from strangers, they don’t know me like that. I can’t expect someone that’s never met me to understand where I’m coming from, but those were my *friends* that said that. They had known me for years, they had seen my roots grow out! But even they couldn’t believe that the hair that naturally grew out of my head was mine. So things like that kind of built up to make me think, like “someone up in heaven must have made a mistake while making me”, “people aren’t supposed to look like me”. Some real stupid shit. And like I know better now, I’m 22, I’m grown. Like your mom said in one video “ god made all of us in his *perfect* image”. I am *perfect* just the way I am. But, I’d be lying if I said those little insecurities from years ago don’t pop up every now and then when I consider going natural. And like, I’m not even mixed like that! I’m like an 8th white, from a great grandfather that I’ve never seen, but everyone else in my lineage was born and raised in Nigeria. Mom, Dad, both sets of grandparents, my older siblings! Like, ya girl is 9ja through and through! But outside of my family and the Nigerian community I grew up in, I feel like an imposter whenever I’m embracing my culture. Sorry, I kind of went on a little tangent there, but all of this to show that your videos mean so much to me, and I’m sure there are others who feel the same. So thank you for doing what you’re doing, and keep at it! ❤️❤️❤️

This is a very solid line. The control paste is slept on, the twist and shout cream is a staple for me. With gels of the consistency of this one, you might get better results (no flaking)if you apply the gel on soaking wet hair.

Everyone I know uses the gel for wash n gos, meaning no retwisting or manipulating the hair AT ALL after raking it through. But since you manipulated it, that may be why you're having issues with residue.

I combined the blueberry bliss cream with the mane choice crystal orchid gel to do a flat twist out and it turned out nice! I had good definition, volume, and my hair didn't feel weighed down. Congrats on 50k as well. ❤️

My absolute fave line of products, at least for the last 3-4 years. It never lets me down and I love the smell. Just posted a wash day with them also. Immediately clicked because you don’t see too many recent videos on these products. The twist and shout works great. Love your hair videos! On wash day after I apply my leave-in, moisturizer, and sealant I put on a disposable shower cap and take a shower to allow for a deeper penetration! I also repeat this when it's time in between wash days...
