This video made me feel so much better. The soufflé is terrible on my hair and leaves it so frizzy and STRINGY. You should see pictures, it’s BAD. And then I even tried one of the styling creams and it just feels like it leaves a film on my hair that makes me want to wash by day 2. I just don’t get it. I don’t think these products are for me either 🙃

I also legit felt like my hair feels thinner. It’s weird and awful.

Girl, I sooooo feel you!!! That brand makes NOOOOO sense to me AT ALL! At another point, before chronicling my journey on KZbin, I had tried a whole set of their products and it was a DISASTER! I thought it might have been because of how damaged my hair was so I thought I'd give one product a try here since my hair was doing better but, no. NEVER AGAIN. I do NOT see the appeal AT ALL!

Leila, that entire Curlsmith Moisture (Orange) Line was a disaster for me! It's very glycerin heavy! That Soufflé product especially. My routine is Curlsmith Vivid Tones Vibrancy Shampoo, Weightless Air Dry Cream (leave-in conditioner), & Hydro Style Flexi Jelly. These products are very low in glycerin & have no protein, which also wreaks havoc on my hair. When my hair is half way dry, I use Eleven Australia Medium Hold Styling Cream, emulsifying with water first because it's so thick. It gives better hold than a strong hold gel. I also use it for refreshing.

Sooooo glad you finally found your winning combo of products, Randy! I so know what the journey’s been like for you and I can relate! That’s good to know about Curlsmith and glad it’s not just me! I’m guessing I just have tried that orange line way back when too! 🤔 I don’t tend to have any issues with glycerin but maybe theirs is extra heavy with it! If ever I decide to delve in to them again I will try the products you mention for sure. My holy grail, up until recently, had been TGIN. I simply love that brand! But I’ve recently been blown away by Soultanicals and it has become my go to brand. I’m in love! And your comment made me curious as to their ingredients and lo and behold, most of the ones I use have zero glycerin and only one of that has some but not at all at the top of the list!

I love curlsmith's rinse/wash out treatment products but their stylers are EXTREMELY hit-or-miss for me. I tend to get residue from their stylers no matter how little I use and finding the right combo is a chore. they make a damn good bonding treatment but when it comes to their products you're meant to leave in, I have no desire to repurchase them.

I am sorry to hear that! It's been very interesting to see there are others with similar experiences to mine. All I've seen is people swooning over Curlsmith and I've never quite gotten it. And though I've heard rave reviews over their bond builder I haven't been thrilled about the amount of time it needs to be left in which is why I haven't felt the urge to try it. But I'm so happy it's worked well for you and that there are at least other products by the brand that you like. I recently did an experiment with K18 and am smitten! Even more so than what you see in my video on it. The more I use it the more I notice the benefits it brings to my hair and I recommend it over everything else I've tried!

Hello! So glad I didn't buy this brand. Idk I am sticking with the Miss Jessie and Bedhead( love on the rebound curl cream). I actually do better with damp hair than wet Idk. I like your rant, hey if you can't be honest about products whats the point??😶 I really hate certain products too. Return and me don't kid for some reason.

Haha, thank you for liking my rant dear Jenny! 😉❤️ So glad you’ve found products that are working for you! I’ve never quite connected with Curlsmith though that’s fine by me, given how pricey it is! Currently, I’m obsessed with Soultanicals. Soooo good! And yep… I do better with damp to wet-ish hair but not soaking wet… that never works for me. It dilutes the products and my hair gets all screwy.

@@MizBoheMia I've tried plopping my hair in a hair nettoo, but meh the curls just do better left in their natural patter..

@@jennyrose9454 Makes sense! That hair net plopping trend makes no sense to me!

I thought you were exaggerating but I just tried this product and I feel the same way as you right now. I should had listened to you. this is a disappointment 🙄and regrets 😫

Ah, no! SO sorry you had the same experience! I always think it's just me and then feel shocked when others go through it too! Well, thankfully it washes out! 😉 If there are two brands I HIGHLY recommend they are Soultanicals and TGIN. I cannot ever rave enough about those!
