Thank you so much for doing the split styling! I have hair similar to yours, maybe slightly less curly. And I never know what products will work best! I’m trying this gel now.
@ZoeLabarthe3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I wanted to give all the products a fair chance :) I’ve been using the styling soufflé more these days for a stronger hold but both are great & smell even better ❤️

Hun, cowashes are in place of a shampoo, its not a 2 in one. Next time you try it you use some of the cowash on your scalp make sure to scrub with you fingertips, rinse and use a conditioner, the point of a cowash is to cleanse your scalp without overstripping your hair although when using a cowash you need to make sure you clarify your hair at least every few weeks depending on your hair you may need to clarify more. Hope this helps
@ZoeLabarthe3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kelly! Thanks for the suggestion, will try it again this way. Hopefully works better haha

The curlsmith website lists this as a 2 in 1 product
@renee91543 жыл бұрын
@@carolyn8756 it can be used as both co wash and conditioner, that’s how it’s 2 in 1, but they are still two separate steps. First you cleanse with it, then you can also use it to condition after ☺️

Thanks for the review! Just got several of these on sale about a week ago and am excited to use them. Do/would you now use both creamy products before a hold product, or just one? If you've tried both ways, which do you prefer?
@ZoeLabarthe3 жыл бұрын
Yay for deals haha! I would normally use a leave-in conditioner, a cream, then a gel. But for some hair types you can get away with using just one cream and a holding product. It also depends how much product your hair can hold and react better to.

Thanks for the video, Zoe! The left side seems more wavy, definitly prefer the right side (with the more liquid gel). I gater you are in USA... Do you have there Lola Cosmetics products? They are great! Vegan, cruelty free and they are amazing! They are cheaper than Curlsmith and for what I have been seeing, they have very similar results. Happy 2023!

The soufflé is my holy grain. It comes in a squeeze bottle as well like the hold me softly cream But we have similar Curl Patterns and l Like how the flexi jelly resulted in. I been avoiding to buy it because I like stronger/extreme hold gels but I’m sold 👌🏽

New sub ,is a amazing brand, I’m a curly hair the I have done pretty much everything to my hair like going really blonde and back to dark and between my curls Smith and Shea moisture protein and my Olaplex # 3 once a week my hair is amazing .And yes less is more with CurlsSmitth but not for a moment I regret buying .

do you need to use both the weightless air drying cream and the style me softly cream before the gel? Both are leave in conditioners (just the style me softly has some hold too). Could you use one or the other? Then a gel for extra hold?
@ZoeLabarthe2 жыл бұрын
I think the gel applies better with any cream product on before. I‘ve tried the gel alone & I felt my hair didn’t look as “hydrated” if that makes any sense lol. I think the hold me softly cream acts great as styler to get more defined curls and the gel acts as extra hold.
@n1na1022 жыл бұрын
@@ZoeLabarthe yeah that's the impression I've got, that you really do need a moisture layer before the gel. Was just curious why you used both moisture creams then gel and if you got better results that way. I've ordered all three today to try, your video helped me decide =)
@n1na1022 жыл бұрын
Also just saw a previous comment asking the same thing! And your reply to that one >< so I have my answer. You like to layer a leave in conditioner, a cream then a gel. The confusing bit is down to the cream being also a leave in conditioner I suppose. I'm very excited to try the products. Thank you for a great review!

Wouldnt the plopping take away the product you just applied?
@ZoeLabarthe3 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, that’s why I use the praying hands and raking method to make sure that the product is in my hair (saturated). Once I do that the product doesn’t come off. Although, something that I do now is I use the microfiber towel to scrunch out any excess water after my cream product then I apply the gel. The gel applies better with less water on the hair. Hope this helps❤️

Hey! I just wanted to leave a comment here about my experience with curlsmith. Last year I was really excited to try curlsmith and I bought a bunch of things from them and they were alright. Not crazy about it but alright... but I had a sincere question regarding the thinkdirty app and their line of products advertised in red on their website. What they did was shocking to me! Curlsmith blocked me from their Instagram account! They deleted my comment and blocked me! So I went into my other account asking why they blocked me and I got 7 nasty “people” insulting me... as it turned out? Those 7 people weren’t real people. They were fake accounts managed by curlsmith. I was insulted in their own Instagram account using fake accounts! I don’t have the money for a lawyer to be honest... but I just wanted to leave it out there... so you know what kind of company you’re dealing with when you or I buy their products. And to think that I happily spent a lot of my money on their products... only to get insulted... 😞😞😞

Hi! ah I’m only just seeing your comment now😭 I’m so sorry you had this experience, I have personally only had great interactions with the brand & their products have worked very well for me but everyone’s hair is different. I would take screenshots of the incident & send them an email. I’m sure they can help answer any questions & clear up the misunderstanding. Hope everything goes well xx

I keep seeing these women who do not have curly hair reviewing curly hair products...please stop ✋️ 😑 You cannot review curly hair products when you don't have natural curly hair. Wavy hair is not curly hair and kinky hair is also not curly hair.
@ZoeLabarthe2 жыл бұрын
So if I don’t have either wavy nor kinky hair does that mean I have straight hair??😂 not sure if you bothered to watch the video but my hair is curly when wet & dry so.. not sure what you’re trying to say here. Also, I will continue to review curly hair products as I please since these are the kind of products I have used my ENTIRE life :)
