I loved the root clipping!!! I have to confess that I’ve never tried hair drying with a diffuser, and I’m definitely curious about it! Here in Brazil is much more common to air dry your hair :)

After my shower I put my hair in a turby twist towell then get dressed brush my teeth and take the towell out. After that I apply matrix curl can dream gel scrunch hair also flip my head over and scrunch some more and let my hair air dry. Turns out great every time and is so easy. Turby twist towell really absorbs the moisture so my hair air dries quickly and hair is healthy and looks good.

Thank you for being honest about this. I will do 50/50. I let my hair dry for about an hour or so. Then I go in with the diffuser and I can diffuse my hair in about 5 to 10 minutes. The thing I like about diffusing is the amount of curl and volume I get. But if I diffuse right from the beginning My Curls are stretched out also. I get tighter curls if I let it dry for just a little while and then diffuse.
@tiellochridge Жыл бұрын
This was really helpful! Your hair must be pretty similar to mine because mine gets stretched out and weighed down easily too. May have to invest in a diffuser...

I'm hopeless at diffusing - probably because I haven't touched a hair dryer at all since I was a teenager over 30 years ago!! I end up with a lot of frizz no matter what I do. Air drying gives me a much better result in that way. Could you please do a video on how you clip your roots? This method looks like it's much easier than any of the others that I've seen ❤

When I used these exact products in my hair my hair was either lacking moisture or in slight protein overload, but when I added some more leave in conditioner it fixed the issue. Next time I use this routine I will definitely replace the air dry cream with the style balm and see if that helps.

beautiful @hanzcurls I have air dried mine always. I'm 48. Since I've been following your Insta and YT I have been trying CGM and diffused a few times. But ultimately, I prefer air dry just because I can shower, put in products and go out the door. I can see the difference in the texture and volume...it's softer and bouncier when I use the dryer. My dryer warm setting doesn't work, so I have cool or hot. I hate putting heat on my hair/scalp...and cool takes all day to dry. I'm looking now for a vid of the scrunching out the cast process. I get very frizzy results. But I hate the way it looks if I don't scrunch it out.

I air dry. It's just easier for me. I haven't cut my hair for a while, though. So, it takes about 3-4 hours for it to be fully dry.

I find it funny when people say air drying is less time consuming, it's just not how it feels for me. I always end up diffusing some even when I try to air dry because I hate the feeling of my wet hair sitting around for so long. Root clipping does help though because it bothers me when I have wet hair in my face.

One time my friend didn’t believe that my Hair took all day to dry. She was shocked that at the end of the day my hair was still a bit damp. I’m still learning how to diffuse because I’ve noticed my hair is flatter when I diffuse. I’m trying to find a good air drying balance and scrunching enough water out with a tshirt.
@tanyas66434 жыл бұрын
Amanda Vilenio flipping it around during drying helps me with flatness. Another issue might be your hair length and cut. Generally speaking, one length hair might be less voluminous, while long layers can help with bounce and volume. Very long fine hair can also be weighed down, stretching the curl more, which makes it less voluminous. And some curl patty are just flatter than others... 🤷🏻♀️ Of course, hair products could also play a role. Thinner products and sometimes even less of it, can work better on fine curly hair. If you need a leave-in conditioner AND a hold product, try to use a styling cream instead of a gel, eliminating the need for separate L-I and styler products.

Omg! How did you get the Snozzle adapter onto the barrel of the T3 dryer???? I was told that it would be too narrow for it.
@hanzcurls4 жыл бұрын
I just stretched it over. It hasn’t broken yet and is more secure than in my other dryer
@tanyas66434 жыл бұрын
hanzcurls I just ordered the adapter from Amazon. Worst case scenario, it don’t manage to fit and I’m only out $20.... and back on the hunt for an adapter or a different diffuser. I bought the T3 diffuser that is working with the dryer, but I hate it. It’s too shallow and the “fingers” on it are useless. I own 3 other diffusers... one being a “universal and collapsible” one I tend to do internationally travel with, since it seems to fit most of the hotel dryers, everywhere. But the T3 dryer barrel is also too big for that one. If I manage to get the adapter on my T3, I’ll purchase the Orchid diffuser. Had also been eyeing the Deva “claw” diffuser, but now I’m thinking that would be the very least likely to fit, even if the adapter ends up working out otherwise.

At least my hair's back to red...kinda. 🙄 And about needing cheaper products, the hairstylist went out of her way to track down her vendor to get me my own fancy curly hair stuff.😃 I can't believe my husband was willing to shell out that kind of money (I have no income). Never in my wildest dreams could I imagine paying $28 bucks apiece for cleanser, conditioner and "volumizing foam".

Thank you for this! The radiators have just gone on again in my house, for winter. I'm worried (because I always air dry) that the cold damp weather outside and the radiators inside the house are going to upset my curls. What can I do to help my hair through the winter?
@hanzcurls4 жыл бұрын
If you’re inside it should be okay, just try and make sure there’s air flow as this should help your hair dry faster. If you’re outside, that damp weather could add frizz so maybe try to avoid as much as possible!

@@hanzcurls Thank you! I might even invest in a diffuser when it starts getting really cold in the mornings!

If they air is damp use products with glycerin/humectants to help draw in the moisture from the air . If the air is dry use products without glycerin/humectants especially with your last products or it will draw out the moisture from your hair. A cold humidifier works great as well for hair and skin too if you have those where you live.

I really really want to try this whole detox line out, but a couple comments on Ulta's site for these products scare me a bit... a couple people mentioned hair loss... I don't ever want that to happen to me, do you think this is legit? or do you think this product is safe and shouldn't do that? Both people mentioned that they had used the Deva curls before and already experienced hair loss from that line - so could it just be b/c of that or could it really be this product? My scalp is really good, sometimes dry but it never flakes or anything - I just think a good scalp line might be good for it in moderation (I plan on using it only 1x per month) if I decide to get it... really need some assurance about this though... :/

@hanzcurls4 жыл бұрын
rdwmuzic the purpose of the primer is not for detangling, but to protect your scalp when you use the clarifying shampoo. I don’t fully detangle my hair with it, just gently run my hands over my hair with it to start loosening the knots. Make sure your hair is soaking wet when doing so. Hope this helps.

Rosanne Diedrichs I only really scrunch to form clumps, I never use a brush but am going to do some experimentation!
@tanyas66434 жыл бұрын
I only use a Tangle Teaser brush to spread my styler product more evenly, before I scrunch and then air dry or diffuse dry my curlies. The Denman brushes are fine, too... but I think the Tangle Teaser is gentler on finer hair. (I own both - a palm-held one and one with the typical brush handle. I prefer the later!)
