@@adam9822if u have wavy hair go for blue Becoz I use orange curl enhanced and manuka honey brown yea it really helps to keep ur hair hydrated but it weight down ur curls too so I gonna switch kerastanse. Shea moisture only works for long hair.

I just found out about shea moisture this year. I live in Europe, never seen them in shops. I tried them and It’s the best products I have ever used. I didn’t even know my hair was that curly, it was wavy and frizzy before. I used to have split ends now it’s all fixed

These seem like helpful tips. I recommend trying to find out what each person needs for their hair because my hair is 4a/3c and I loved the light blue line that you recommended for wavy hair, which seems like a good recommendation still I just really loved it too haha. I recently repurchased some Shea moisture products today and I hope to get some of the blue line again in the future!

hey! i don’t know if you’ll see my comment, but i have a question for you. i have 3a/3b (low porosity) curly hair, and i have recently started using the orange shea moisture products (shampoo as well as the enhancing smoothie). i just wanted to ask for some help with products and whatnot because i’ve just recently figured out how to care for my hair type, but i am still struggling with the porosity and just wanted to see if you had any intel on better products i could use to “feed” my hair. 😂

I also have 3a/3b hair and the orange line worked very well for me at the start and still does but I recommend the “Jamaican black castor oil line" it is my new favourite thing alo with the orange aka that “coconut and hibiscus" line Hope this helps

@NileValleyBoyz yes it will work great the mostiure lasts for about 3-6 days depending on your hair but if you have dry hair the Jamaican black caster oil line will mostiure your hair a bit better and will last longer. But if your hair tends to build up I recommend the coconut and hibiscus line. I do have some 3c parts in my hair and both work

I would say yes. I have very fine type 3 hair and the orange line works well for me, I've been using it for like a year now and my hair definitely changed. That's my experience tho so it could be different no guarantee here !

My hair is fine and coarse. I use a combination of Shea Moisture lines such as Coconut and Hibiscus + smoothie , Jbco deep treatment masque ( monthly ), Raw Shea Butter Restorative conditioner after henna coloring mixed avocado and olive oil with heatcap for an hour.

Protein gives more Strength, so you have stronger healthier hair while moisture makes your hair less dry, softer and also healthier! Both are equally as important :)

Do you suffer from high porosity hair? Put a strand of hair in a glass bowl or clear glass if it sinks its high porosity, if if floats its low porosity if its in the middle its middle porosity

It depends on what you have been doing to your hair as well as Moonlights comment. For me, my hair has a tendency to dry quick but it's defined as low porosity. So, what I do is wet ( aloe juice or lightweight leave in ) my hair then apply oil. The other day tried almond and it worked out well applying 4 to 5 drops on hair, if that. On scalp massage about dime size of oil and finish with lightweight cream on hair then braid. Because my hair is very curly and it's prone tangles it will look a bird's nest. Starting out, I used a combination of lightweight oil ( grapeseed, Jojoba...etc ) and wee bit of almond or avocado works extremely well. Hopefully my comment has helped.

Well she directed people to Shea Moisture's chart to see which products THEY recommend for your hair type, first and foremost. Then gave a very simple overview of common product lines, based on moisture and protein needs. It wasn't exactly an in-depth tutorial on which "exact" hair type each and every product or even product line should be used on. It can still help people if they know their porosity level and hair needs, regardless of what skin color they happen to have.

There are no brands I know of that only make products exclusively for white hair, because if they did, of course that would be wrong. So with your expertise, what would you recommend for someone like me - a white girl who's hair texture seems like somewhere between white and black hair and is also very dry, frizzy, coarse, high porosity, curly, and SUPER puffy??? Unfortunately, there is no product lines out there made specifically for whities with a blackish texture, so I'm a little confused what I should do. My hair soaks everything up like a sponge - even oil, so I have to constantly reapply products throughout the day. I've tried a bazillion white hair products over the years and still have yet to find one that makes it healthier or more manageable. So should I just continue wasting more money on products that do nothing for my hair? Or....???

@manidmart This comment is rude af but why? I (and I'm sure others like me) are on constant searches for products that will help our own unique hair needs. Mine happens to be extremely thick, lots of it, and mostly 3b curly that is naturally super dry, coarse and high porosity. It's also incredibly puffy and frizzy, whether I try working with my curly hair or finally get fed up and straighten it. I've even had black girls ask me if I was sure I had no black in me, laughing, saying I probably have a little in there somewhere, based on my hair! For the record, according to Ancestry - I'm 100% northern european/scandinavian, but my hair is not like most white people hair AT ALL - hence my search into black hair products, as they tend to be more moisturizing and heavier, which work better for me. White people don't all have the same hair, just as you don't!! Plus, why would you want to steer people away from a black owned company instead of promoting their business if you love their products? Simply based on race??? That's crazy....you should be happy the products are great and their business is so successful - for whoever finds them useful.
