Thank you for the video! I definitely want to make this. So far I've been making leave-in hair butter for my daughter's afro hair, but it's too buttery for me. I am very interested to get the PH meter with probe, if I could have a link, so far I've only seen meters for water without a probe.

I make a gel for textured/afro hair using the very same base formula! I replaced the regular guar with xanthan gum. Additives are hyaluronic acid but saw your post about not using high sheer to keep the humectant properties so would need a different mixer. Been debating about adding oil (brocoli?) and protein. Thanks for your input. Still trying to find mysignature fragrance.

Try using a straight guar or quaternised guar instead of the xanthan - xanthan has a negative charge, and your hair feels more conditioned with a positive (or neutral) charge.
