I didn’t. I just make sure to twist or braid tightly. Also doing smaller sections helps with puffiness

@@HazelGoddesss it also does great as a moisturizer on dry hair for me. My hair type is similar to yours. I use it for wash and gos too. It pairs great with lotta body mousse or creme of nature naturals coconut milk mousse if you are doing a wash and go or braid out!
