I am so glad that I listen to you regarding Finn! I received her yesterday. Excitedly opened up the box and went to bed thinking, after playing around with it, "why did I order this one?" I even had to go back to this & the other Finn (Americano) review videos you did. Today I pulled Finn out again and cut in bangs. Of course they've got curl but after playing around with it, I now see why I ordered it. It is so cute, it is very similar to how I used to wear my naturally wavy hair years ago. I think the shock of the curls threw me off. But you're right, I love the curl pattern. I love the cap and boy is it comfortable for a 23" circumference person. Thank you again for your videos, I so appreciate your info. Gosh, I wish you were my neighbor, girl, we'd have so many wigs between us. I can tell.

I've always loved straight hair and blow dry, flat iron my hair straight. It suits me well. BUT I forgot how curls bring out a whole different and just-as-good look. Forget hoping, I love Finn. :-)

Oh Denise, that's your wig. I mean it's everything. Don't ever question the style or color. WOW, I love it. I am so delighted with her. I am wondering if I should go for it. I used to perm my hair and it was beautiful, years ago, but those highlights are a game changer. I love, love, love the fact she is for a larger head as well. Re-thinking toppers. I agree that some really do need it. I try NOT to comb and just work with my fingers, but I have had some that I could not get to look good that way and then I did take a comb to it. This is one of those things, though, that is SOOOO subjective. What looks too messy or like a rats nest to one person might look great to another, which is what makes all this so hard. I might tell you I never comb my wigs, and then you try it and hate it... some of it really is just trial and error. Big hugs and Merry Christmas!! Why did u choose Finn over Avalon? I think I like the disbursement of color better on Finn except Avalon is gorgeous in the Vanilla Latte. I usually can’t wear blonde but I’m going to give it a shot. The Orchid is gorgeous in all of the colors. I’m not crazy about it in Vanilla Latte but that’s probably just my age. Too much blonde hair. Americano and Iced Mocha are gorgeous on Orchid. Denise, I still haven't gotten my Finn to work for me. Did you do anything additional to yours? I lightly combed and sprayed with water like you. Looks so different from mine. I purchased mine not quite a year ago. Maybe I should dunk in cold water? I love my Avalon.

That would be what I would do.... give her a good soak, maybe even lightly condition her? It is possible that you just got a "Dud".... I hate to say it, but sometimes a wig squeaks through quality control and really should have been pulled. I have had that happen to me with other wigs. Even my other Finn in Americano looks slightly different from the front with a bit of a different curl pattern. I ordered 2 more Finns in other color (I know, this one has awaken the beast) and will likely make a video showing how they all look compared to each other. I haven't gotten the other two yet, but crossing my fingers the curls are close! Good luck with soaking her, I really hope that is all that is needed for yours.

My back-order Iced Mocha Finn just arrived a day ago, and I've been having a great time with it. Mine did seem to have a LOT of volume, though, like Carol King on steroids. Did you use a comb on yours? I've tried to rearrange the swooping front "bat wings" without success, whereas yours looks very subdued😊 Just wondering. I love the full look, but mine seems about twice the size of yours. 🤔

I did comb mine out.... a lot of times I try to stick to finger combing with curly and wavy wigs, but Finn definitely needed to be combed. She also does settle down over time, so I would keep working with her.... you can also take a hair dryer on low heat, spritz Finn with water, and work on taming those batwings with a little heat.... as long as you spritz with water and use low heat Finn won't be damaged and that just might be enough to settle those wings :)

I do find Estetica caps to be a little big on me as well. Radiant Beauty runs similarly. I have to say, I have owned 2 Radiant Beautys and for some reason they just don't do it for me.... BUT!!! I think she would be PERFECT wedding hair. Truly! That may be why she wasn't one of my favorites, because she is a bit too fancy for everyday wear for me.... but having a Radiant beauty around for weddings or other fancy events would be perfect. Seriously.

How do wash her? And how do you dry? I have Avalon in icy shadow and it is one of the longest that I have. I have washed the first one and it didn’t spring back!! I don’t know what to do. Do you think it could hard water. The ends are frizzy. I’ve used the silicone spray and it didn’t help. Do you dry Avalon upside down??? Soooo 😢

Oh no! I haven't had that happen when I've washed a wig, they always spring back. It could be the hard water, what did you use to wash and how did you wash her? I do dry upside down.... basically I put the shampoo in the water and swish around to dissolve, then I put the wig in the water and dunk up and down for a bit and then let it soak for about 10 minutes (although I have been known to leave a wig for a few hours if I get busy. Then I rinse it really well (this is done much more easily under the tub faucet if you have one. Then I fill the sink again and put conditioner in and swish around until dissolved and then I dunk the wig a number of times and then let it soak for awhile. I really like both the Belle Madame conditioner and the Estetica conditioner so those are what I usually use and I do not rinse either of them out. I squeeze out as much water as I can with my hands and then I wrap in a towel and squeeze (no rubbing). Then I shake out vigorously upside down (in the shower), scrunch the curls back in and then hang upside down to dry. Sometimes the wig can feel a little crunchy after, but all it takes is some shaking out and finger combing and that is all it takes.

@@heywigsister Thank You Honey for answering me! You’re such a sweet person!! I use Revlon wig shampoo. I do just what you do but haven’t used conditioner!! My heart is broken!!!☹️! I’ve seen on KZbin that some people use fabric softener but I was afraid too! Have you ever done that??

@@susiepalmer1977 I have tried fabric softener... I don't really care for how it makes my wigs feel (VERY crunchy and coated).... but some people swear by it and won't use anything else! I don't think you will ruin your wig by trying it, though.... so it is worth a try... if you don't like it then just rinse the wig again. I will warn you, though.... use unscented. The wig fibers take on the smell of the fabric softener at what seems like quadruple strength, lol. Seriously... I absolutely LOVE smelly stuff, I love perfume, body spray, smelly lotions, essential oils, but the smell of a wig that has soaked in scented fabric softener is too much even for me. I also do not think it is too late to save your wig.... you can either get some wig conditioner or try fabric softener and I just know she will bounce back! My favorite conditioners are Belle Madame Balsam and Estetica Conditioner. Some people even use regular conditioner for bio hair, though I have not tried that. If you ask 10 people what they do you will get 10 answers, lol. Unfortunately, wig specific stuff is kind of expensive and so I do want to experiment with cheaper things, but I just don't wash my wigs enough to really do a real test (since I change them up SO much, it takes me months to wear a wig enough to wash it usually). @@heywigsister Just got back on here this morning. I really appreciate you! I think I will mix a little fabric softener and water together and try that first. Yes you are right about 10 different answers!😂!! I wanted to use Avalon as my everyday wig. May not be possible though! I LOVE Finn. Not sure of all the colors it comes in. She looks beautiful on you!! I may have better luck with her. Going to try what you suggest and see what happens. It definitely can’t hurt it worse than it does right now!! 🙄! I have plenty of short wigs but I wanted to try longer ones. My own hair is pretty much this color. I have Graves Disease (sick thyroid) so my hair is very thin! Thank You sooo much. I just brought mine and it’s heavy round the front it’s going to take a lot of work the bangs are awful and it sevens loads of hair. I got mine in a clear out sale so it could be an old one x

Hi! No, not at all. I just filmed my review of Heaven yesterday (will be out next week). Heaven is longer and MUCH curlier. Another difference is that Finn has a lot of permatease and Heave has virtually none.

Girl mono is still my favorite... Finn has WAY more hair, permatease, length.... it is just much much MORE than Girl Mono, although that one can be pretty curly and while she doesn't have a lot of hair, the curls can be overwhelming if you aren't used to it. Clips make a WORLD of difference with that one whereas it is tough to use clips to tame Finn because of the amount of permatease that one has.

No, and I would say that it does have a lot of hair! I think it can be hard to see in videos... I have had 4 Finns now and they all have lot of hair and sometimes the curls are more defined and sometimes they are looser.

That is a great question! I have to do a color comparison of the Toffee Latte with this one, it is on my list. I can't really say yet because I haven't done much with the Toffee latte but I will try to get to that soon.

Btw my finn isn't rooted, it's RH-1488 Got on clearance to try...,I'm finding I like doing that just to try a wig then if I like it I don't mind paying full price on a better color. Going to try to root her, wish me luck. Purchased 10 wigs in 2 months & so far no returns or disasters. Ty Denise for your videos

@@heywigsister thank for asking, oh yes I got up nerve & just did it while I was watching multiple tutorials. I didn't have anything to lose & local shop told me price would start at $75 to thin/cut. It was my 1st time, it didn't ruin her, but not sure if I can wear her outside the house, guess I can just pin up to wear to mailbox. I have pics I'll send through fb for "YOU" to see if you want.

I'm a wig sister from Ontario and have ordered mostly wigs from Voguewigs ( USA ), I never had to pay custom fees until last time. I don't really know what happened but I was really upset. I payed 200 dollars of custom fees for 2 wigs. I wonder if anyone has a similar experience?
