I had a "hair analysis" done. I found out I have "high porosity" hair. But, my hair is also thinning. Mainly due to incorrect hair maintenance. She cut off about 3 inches from my hair. This chop, made my hair looked thicker, she explained why. She also advised me to see my doctor for a iron level check. I purchased hair shears, a mister and a container for my recommend grape seed oil. I was also told, I needed to wash my hair weekly with a protein based shampoo and conditioner. Also to do a cold oil treatment and to stay away from heat on my hair for a while. No protective styles that would add weight to my hair She recommended two strands twists, silk scarves or wigs. Just until my hair strength was better. I explained, I'm not worried so much about length. I want healthy hair and scalp again. The rest will come, once I get the health back to my hair. I've Subscribed. 🙇‍♀️

My favorite sealant is hair grease If I use oil, it's Avocado or Grapeseed. If you're new to oils, use 1 at a time to determine what your hair/scalp likes. When I was newly natural, I was using too many products once so I didn't realize coconut oil was SIGNIFICANTLY drying/matting/knotting my hair & castor oil was the source of SEVERE itching.

The best like I’ve found for low porosity medium to high density is a mixture of avocado and olive oil!! Also grape seed is a staple!! I’m so happy I’ve found soils that work.

My favorite oil is grease! My hair is thick and high porosity so I need something strong to seal in the moisture and once I started using grease again I never looked back! I’m so mad at the natural hair community for making grease seem like the Devil when it’s literally an angel in a jar. GREASE AINT NEVA HURT! 😩😌

This was spot on. I have high porosity fine hair and it took me years to figure out what works. For the past two months I have been using safflower and pumpkin seed oil mix infused with Ayurvedic herbs. I love this bc it's so light and absorbent I can use it on my scalp daily. On my weekly wash day I use my oil down the length of my hair and seal it with a homemade leave in of flaxseed gel and cupuacu butter which is also super light. My hair and I are in love again, lol

I use jojoba oil on my scalp. My scalp around the crown was light sore tender and couldn't figure out what was the issue. Researched jojoba oil and applied to my scalp and the sore tenderness is gone. Jojoba oil is a 💎. Love your channel.🙌🏾🙋🏾‍♀️

Jamaican Black Castor oil for my ends, Grape-seed oil, avocado, and jojoba (love me some jojoba) in my hair and peppermint oil for my scalp. Coconut oil for slip I love the shine it gives my hair. I only use olive oil for hot oil treatments. We have Curly Chemist and Green Beauty who are two black women educating us on natural hair.

JBCO, Avocado oil and Olive oil. My hair likes Avocado oil a little more than olive oil. I actually let Avocado oil sit on my hair 30-60mins before I wash. (Depends on my haste). It really helps me detangle and leaves my hair soft. I use JBCO or hair Grease to seal. Whatever is closest to me at the time.

I’ve been researching different oils for my “Medium Porosity hair and I just found out, also, that Soybean Oil is great for sealing the ends of my hair. I always use “Vegetable Oil” for cooking so I looked at what the main ingredient is on the bottle and Voila! It’s Soybean oil! 🤗

Jamaica black castor oil, avocado oil and Argon oil, top 3 for my high porosity hair. Even using protective hairstyle, twists, my hair is dry in about 2 days. It’s growing but it has thinned out a lot. A couple of years ago I was using coconut oil, coconut co-wash and conditioners which really made my hair dry and brittle. No more coconut oil products for me. Today I will try a hot oil treatment as you suggest. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

My low porosity thin/medium thick hair has a love hate relationship when I use grease or castor oil. It loves it, in that it grows like crazy and prevents split ends, but the build up is 🙈… anything else just slows down my hair growth. I guess I get the best moisture retention with the castor oil. I kinda found a good balance though, as I use black soap in my roots and it removes the buildup like magic, so less work when washing my hair. Thank you for your informative video

This was spot on I have HP Thin strands, class 1&2 oils never worked for me they would just sit on top and not absorb. My hair will have sheen but still feel dry. I've recently used Joboba and Macadamia oils, my hair has been so soft and moisturized. I never knew it could be because of the type of oil. Hell, wish this info was available when I startedy natural hair jpurney 30 years ago. I am 3a/b low porosity and have tried every single oil I can find. Only to find the best oil for regular use is the cheapest .... Sunflower or canola oil. Coconut oil is for my summer routine and hot oil prepoo. Spent a fortune over the years on expensive oils that didn't work for me.
