Here's a tip: when applying henna start with a small section in the middle of your head and put that into a bantu knot then take sections around that and work your way outwards and keep wrapping them around that first middle section. You'll prevent mess on your clothes and skin and makes for an easier application 🙂 this is the only way I apply my henna now

You should try a henna mask with boiling water with onions, garlic, red tea, and hibiscus, with a little rosemary (add only boiling water). After mixing , add two tablespoons of Turkish coffee. If your hair is dry, add honey, a little honey, and one to two tablespoons of vinegar. Organic apple This is a recipe that has been known to us Arabs since forever. It is very useful and gives a wonderful, slightly reddish-brown color

Hey ya'll! Definitely look at the Henna QnA video CP made about 4 months ago. She answered that after you let the dye release after 4 hours, apply it for 30 min to 4 hours. It's completely up to you. She claims to leave it in no more than 2 hours. Hope this helps!

Not too many questions. I mix the henna concoction with her deep conditioner. After I apply it, I cover her hair with a plastic cap, and then I place a bonnet hair dryer on her head. I put the dryer on a low setting for 20 mins. Then I rinse it out. I do not shampoo it out because I shampoo her hair before. If you shampoo it after, then you’ll wash out the benefits of the herbs and oils.

Great post you made me fall in love with henna I was scared after my first use of it because of my lack of knowledge which earned me a major set back but now I know better all thanks to you, loving my natural 4c shoulder length hair headed to waist length.

Your hair looks so moisturized. Thanks CP. I've just reached my hair goal thanks to your wonderful and very useful tips. Currently Hip length 🥰😏

It's not cool to make false statements for likes. I remember your review on another video. Your hair is not hip length. In your picture, it looks very short. There are real women/ men who come on here to look for solutions. CP has helped so many of us with whatever our hair goals were. Stop the madness ( lies ) or produce pictures. Give your testimonial on how CP helped you reach hip length.

Try the rose method to apply henna, starting from the top of the head to twist a section, and all the other strands of hair around It, until you'll pick all of the hair. It should become a big bun

I like this idea. It makes sense because I always feel like all the goodness runs to the back of my hair, where it soft lush and healthy compared to the middle and top where it’s often dry.

Hi there! ☺️ How often do you recommend doing this type of intensive mask/treatment? I have fine curly hair. And when do you think your pro strength henna will be back in stock? You’re so amazing, so inspiring and I’d love to support! Keep shining! ✨
@khadijaomer12613 жыл бұрын
I think once a month or twice a month max! Because henna acts like a protein treatment and its dye does stay in your hair for a loong time. Once a month but consistently is quite enough

I think I need to switch to this, my hair has been really dry with the henna gloss lately, maybe I’m moisturising. I actually use shea butter on my hair to do my twists so adding to the mask sounds like such a great thing to do! I am very happy to see your progress with your own product range!! well done !

You have cultivated such a caring, intimate relationship with your followers and have nurtured so many through hair health and growth journeys from a distance that I must say that using your elixir, having watched so many of your videos and come to love your generous, endearing persona, was very special and personal, knowing the history and development of the DIY fenugreek oil. It feels like you mixed it for each of us, because in a sense, and over the years, you did!! :-))) I twisted my hair with it last night, and it felt DIVINE, clearly made by the DIY OG herself! Three things: I am leery of henna on my gray and white hairs, which I am contemplating doing a semi-permanent dye on (Igora Vibrance by Schwarzkopf). Will it be a disaster to apply this hydrating henna mask after (though not immediately after!) I've colored my hair with a chemical product like that, albeit a mild one? Also, I guess you have no grays, young stuff :-) but have you ever done a video about covering grays with henna and indigo? I tried it but it didn't cover that much, plus my very porous hair felt super rough from the herbs. Lastly, though I'd loooove to try your top-shelf, class of the field henna, what other herbs could I swap into this recipe for similar benefits? What you said about henna lifting the cuticles gives me pause because I have high porosity hair and am now starting to baby it following a regimen devised by me by the wonderful trichologist Afope Atoyebi, whom I found and follow here on KZbin. Okay thanks and sorry for the novel - blessings and happy holidays, and onward and upward with the beautiful brand!

@lleana I am a high porosity girl and henna has been nothing short of a savior for my hair. I also have been coloring my grays with hair color then using henna for years and frankly I think that it has made it stronger after coloring and I love the warm radient sheen that it gives my hair once its been colored.

Love love love your content. I would really like your perspective on using henna as a dye, because I have read that if you are doing that, it's a no no to add oils as it compromises the hennas ability to bond and penetrate and 'fix' to the hair. Much love. ❤️
@ro26703 жыл бұрын
I thought that too. I’m so confused now. I don’t use oil in my mask and I deep condition with store bought conditioner, oil and heat after. My hair stays hydrated with this method. When I do a gloss I will add oils, butters, or milk/yogurt but I don’t do that for dye.
@HoneyBrown8313 жыл бұрын
@Rochelle Oliver I use a brown Henna dye by Reshma. The instructions say to use on clean, dry hair with no product in it. It covers my grays very well. Using Henna as a deep conditioner is not the same purpose or process. I hope that helps to clear up any confusion for some.
@eduagonzalez Жыл бұрын
I wouldnt use the oil if you’re using henna solely for coloring purposes. Most of us are using it for strength and growth though, so that oil helps us to get all the benefits without the drying

Curly, I use my hand mixer to blend my henna et al and let it sit over night. Next time I will add some aloe vera juice. Recently I added zizyphus ( a natural Ayurvedic cleanser) to clean my hair. I really like it. I don’t like shampoos even with Ayurvedic ingredients added. Also when I use henna, I spread a little Vaseline around my edges and neck and use a cover around my shoulders. Not being picky just my routine. Also I have been to the mailbox twice looking for my Xmas 💵 and this dude LATE. As soon as I get it, I will buy me some CP Henna 👍🏾😘👋🏾

Henna should be used monthly as a mask. If you are mixing just a teaspoon into your deep conditioner to make a gloss then weekly is fine
