You know , the best thing about your grandfather , his brothers , and Mr. Fine ...is that they followed the same recipe that Red Skelton followed . They made people happy , and kept them entertained ..all while not using any curse words or vulgarity . I watched the interview that Dick Cavett had with Moe back in the 1970's . Moe was about the gentlest human being that ever lived.

My mom just passed and it got me thinking of what our family's legacy will be. I'm the last of my bloodline. I was a gardian to a great boy who I proudly call my son and now a grandpa and "pops" to my wife's son and her granddaughter. I see my dad's quarky sense of humor and even love of making others laugh coming through in ways I would have never guessed. Especially when times are tough... and sooo much is from my dad his love of the stooges. I realized this just a few days ago when we all came home after mom's wake. We all had some gut wrenching cries and then realized that everyone was focused in on the funeral director's wiggling lop sided toupee. Our laughter helped heal us. It was so good to see you guys laughing and clowning around in this video. A legacy of laughter and joy is more valuable than pounds of gold because in the long run, we are all just the stories we pass down and laughter and joy is hard to beat.

I was going to drop by last time I was in LA, but didnt have the time. I was planning on saying "the mourners Kaddish (prayer for those who passed away)" when I was there - but ended up taking an earlier flight and couldnt make it out there. As for how many people visit their relatives who passed away ... cant tell you - everyone and every level of religion is different. As someone who is "a religious Jew", I go often to my own parents and grandparents graves (as well as family friends)(same cemetery so its not hard to do) - but thats just me. Next time I get to LA if I have the time, I would go there and say it for them with pleasure. Besides being "one of the tribe", they gave every one I know many many years of pleasure and entertainment - they certainly deserve the respect and dignity!

Nothing can dethrone the Three Stooges when it comes to classic comedy. And Curly was KING when it came to comedy. Love all the Stooges, but Curly topped them all. I hope to visit California someday in the future, and I would love to visit Curly's grave. How humbling and incredible was it to visit the graves of your grandfather and grand-uncle?

I’m currently binge watching Three Stooges and even though I’m only 22 and a brand new fan, I feel like I knew them my whole life! It pains me to know that Curly and Shemp were cut down in their prime. They along with good ol’ Moe and Larry are the funniest men of all time. I wish I could bring them all back so I can shake their hands/hug them and to tell them how much they made me laugh! It’s great that you’re honoring your grandfathers and great uncles legacy’s with your shorts! They would be so proud! Keep up the good work Curly G and never stop making your shorts! Godspeed brother! RIP: Curly, Larry, Moe, and Shemp ❤❤❤❤

@@ChrisDurmick I have always wanted to visit Curly's gravesight to pay my respects, and honor his memory. I got to experience this through Curly G's. video. A private moment shared by Curly G. and good friends- Chris and Andy, and family. This had such a Deep emotional impact on me. I have been watching the 3 Stoodges since I was 5 years old. I see the world through Stoodge colored glasses. I find humor in everyday life experiences. Let me give you some examples. Recently I went to the grocery store on the bus. I was told to be ready at 2pm. I went out to the bus and was told that the bus was hit by a car, and that they couldn't let me in the bus because the door wouldn't open!!! I started cracking up laughing!!! Another moment: I was in the produce aisle. A beautiful but nasty woman in high heels slipped on a piece of wet lettuce. I cracked up laughing. She went flying in the air, then hit the floor. I went over to help her- but my first thought was, Where have I seen this before? The 3 Stoodges!!!😂😂😂Years ago I had to have surgery. As they were wheeling me into the surgical suite, I was cracking up laughing!!! I was wearing my Stoodge colored glasses. CALLING DR. HOWARD, DR. FINE, DR. HOWARD!!!😂😂😂Curly was my Favorite.❤He always made me laugh so hard. He was unique, and funny. As I got older I wanted to know more about the 3 Stoodges. I did some research. When I read about all the strokes and illness Curly had, it broke my heart. I couldn't believe that such a beautiful so-so kind and genuine. So warm and hysterically funny-would die so young and so tragically. It wasn't fair!!! He brought so much joy, happiness and laughter to the world/and to me.❤When you got to Shemp's grave-it was comedy relief!!!!AMAZING!!!😂😂😂Lots of laughter. I loved it!!!❤Seeing you, Curly G. And Andy at Curly's grave really made me cry. You were there to show your love and respect. This touched my heart in such a Deep way. You three guys are carrying on the 3 Stoodges Legacy of Laughter. 3 Beautiful, unique, creative and talented boys. I wear my 3 Stoodges colored glasses everyday. They keep me Laughing and Happy. They are a permanent part of me. A gift from Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp.❤KEEP EM' LAUGHING!!!😂😂😂Love you guys.❤❤❤

I use to deliver flowers to this graveyard all the time knowing the 3 Stooges were there. I would go into the office asking where they were buried and they were strict not telling unless you could prove you were family or delivering flowers for them. I searched like crazy trying to find where their graves were at. Even asked the guys that worked there and the just pointed in the directions but couldn't/wouldn't tell me exactly where. That place is super protective of personal privacy and I understand that. So thank you guys for showing their graves. Finally I got to see them and nobody better than the 3 New Stooges (keeping the tradition alive) being the ones to do it. If I ever do get back there (about an hr drive from me so I'm certain I will) I'm bringing a nickel to put on Shemp's stone. "I got one phone number & one nickel left." 🤣

I just visited Curly’s grave this last weekend and wondered who left behind the block of cheese 😂. The Three Stooges are an American treasure. Curly was my personal favorite and I remember as a kid dancing in front of the television when the opening credits came on and it was a Curly short. What an honor it must be to be related to the funniest man of all time. Thank you for sharing this very private moment with the KZbin community.

What a treat seeing you visiting your grandpa. I am a big fan of the Stooges and have corresponded with Helen Maura Howard, Moe’s daughter, following reading Curly’s bio. I have collected various artifacts and newspaper articles, etc. Curly’s name in Hebrew is engraved on the headstone and reads: Yehuda Lieb Bar Shlomo Ha’Levy. Curly saved thousands of dogs by picking up strays and finding homes for them. That alone made him a mench, Yiddish for “the man!” You and your family did a great thing by paying him your respects. Curly, his brothers and Larry Fine made millions laugh.

Yehuda (Judah) Leib (love or lion), the son of Shlomo (Solomon) the Levite (from the tribe of Levi). Horwitz means that Moe, Curly and Shemp's ancestors came from a town in Czechoslovakia called Horovice. By 1942 only 76 Jews lived there; all were murdered in 1942 by the Nazis. They grew up in Bensonhurst, birthplace of Buddy Hackett, Eliot Gould, both Jewish, and someone whose greatness is equal to that of the Stooges, Sandy Koufax.

I was born in 1948 and found the Stooges on B&W TV in my pre-teens. I loved the shows and modeled my humor after Curly. I am sure that people around me (who didn't know about the Stooges) thought I was having some sort of mental breakdown. I did all the bits with my favorite being the multiple hand slaps to the face. I encouraged my close friends to watch and they they all caught the bug and did the bits with me. We cracked each other up and it was a very pleasant childhood memory. I was always on Curly's side and thought he was not being well treated by his brothers even though I knew it was acting. Thanks for this emotional tribute.
