As of today, they have the ingredients of the "base" used for treatment bottle posted on the website. It also sounds like the pricing model isn't as steep today when I signed up for it than when this review was made. Pretty sure if I decide to keep going after the trial, I'm going to just stick with the treatment and pass on the cleanser and moisturizer. I have about 5 years worth of both from my subscription boxes to get through!

Curology is legit. I haven’t had a breakout since 2 months ago. I started 6 months ago and it slowly decreased my breakouts. I asked them to change my formula 3 times. All of the formulas I had were good but I wanted to get the best formula possible for my skin based on how it reacted to it. The providers will work with you and you don’t have to stick to the first formula they prescribe you. I also noticed it helped fade my existing acne scars and also speed up the healing process when I get a pimple. Its worth a try you guys😁A large bottle will cost $40 and it will last you about 2 months. I also recommend moisturizers that is NOT water-based because in my experience, this causes for it to pill. I finally have clear skin I so wanted! I still have acne scars to get rid of and I still get a pimple from time to time but it wasnt nearly as bad before and it goes away in a few days. i know this video is older, but curology definitely watched your video and learned from it! they now recommend other products that have ingredients outside of the prescriptions they offer, and they provide a slip of paper in every shipment that outlines not only the entire list of “inactive” ingredients in the treatment, but also explains all the other ingredients that could be active in your personal prescription too!

I back this! “Z-Bar (Pyrithione Zinc 2%) Medicated Cleansing Bar is a good choice. Another is Noble Formula 2% Pyrithione Zinc Bar Soap; the non-vegan version is advised, as the vegan bar has cocoa butter, which can trigger breakout in some people). Noble has a new soap with argan oil, which could be a great alternative as well. Please stick to these brands, as many other brands contain coconut oil, which can actually block pores. I'd recommend keeping the soap on a holder with perforations so that it doesn’t stay damp and giving the bar a quick rinse before using. I would use it every day in place of your normal cleanser for your back / body. Make sure to leave on for a minute or so before rinsing off. “ These are a few of the recommendations my provider had for body acne. The message I received from her was very long and super informative.

Pimple stickers work pretty well. I use them when I have a pimple that comes up to a white head and it sucks everything out over night and allows it to heal faster. Sometimes I have to use them a couple nights in a row.

@@Ryujinn999 it was a bit too drying for my skin type, to be honest. here's what's been working for me for the past 5 months and my skin has never looked so clear. I went to my dermatologist who prescribed me epiduo and now i cleanse with cerave hydrating cleanser (not the foaming one which is also too drying for me) and then i moisturize with cerave pm and use another prescription called aczone every morning. I also went on birth control to help balance out some of my hormones. it's definitely been a process but it finally seems to be healing my skin!

I have been trying to control my acne for about six years now. As everyone else who’s had really bad acne, I had tried probably every single affordable skin care product you can find as well as birth control that’s meant to help with acne. Let me tell y’all, curology is the ONLY thing that has ever even made a difference in my skin, let alone actually clear my skin. After having to wear makeup just to leave my bedroom every day, being able to leave my house without makeup on was unheard of since I was 12. I used Curology years ago when you would just get a treatment (no cleanser or moisturizer) and it helped me so much omg. It was kind of a last resort thing because I was at a loss with what to do with my acne. Not only was the treatment effective, but the skin advice I received from my medical provider was so invaluable, especially during a time that skincare used to overwhelm me. I think Curology is so nice for those that need help with their skin but can’t afford or don’t have access to a dermatologist. I can’t speak for everyone, but Curology really did work for me and so did the tips I received from an expert on skin.

Amy B technically they aren’t. My mom is a nurse practitioner. They haven’t gotten their doctorate yet usually, meaning they are not a doctor. However, they basically do the exact same things as doctors and legit should get paid the same amount. But are they a doctor, no they are not and they will also tell you this.

Liv C the huge difference between Nurse Practitioners and Doctors is that they are not authorized to perform surgery. They can do minor procedures. As far as everything else is concerned, you can go get a routine check up, and prescribed medicine through an NP.

Absolutely adore curology but would love to see a few changes: 1. To see how much of the product is left! 2. Have the option for an extremely large bottle, so we could get it once a year. 3. Intl shipping! For those of us who take jobs abroad, its annoying to have fam/friends ship abroad every 2 months, or to run out mid-trip, since you can’t see how much is left.

acmilanfan44 I used to make topical compounds in a pharmacy and the issue with the changes you’ve listed is some of the ingredients they use aren’t stable with sunlight, so they HAVE to use a non-see through bottle to protect the product from instability. The other issue is that some of the ingredients expire quickly, hence why you have to get new bottles often. Also, mixing certain ingredients can change the longevity of the product.

Kirsten Eve hey could you answer a quick question since you used to mix compounds? I gave the dermatologist I work for my curology formula for him to send in as a rx, but it was SO different. Super thick, turned yellow within a week, didn’t say to keep it in the fridge so I have no idea why it didn’t work the same. Is it because of the missing ingredients that they didn’t show? I use curology and I agree with a lot of the things you said in this video. That being said, I really love their products. They have helped me a lot with my acne and I have been using it for about a year. I also want to correct a misconception you have about them. They actually will recommend other products to use along with their own. They have recommended a zink body wash, and cosrx pimple patches to me. So the provider will actually try to help you in any way they can.

He did say he was testing one product from The Ordinary that he's excited to talk about. I'm thinking the cheaper and better product is The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% which is $6. Compared to the Curology treatment formulated with Niacinamide 4% + Zinc 0.42% which is $20 on its own. Edit: Yes, I'm confident it's the one. I checked the video posted right after this, and he recommends Thr Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% under smoothing treatment for acne scarring.

Fell for the constant Curology ads about 3 years ago and I'm SO glad I did. I had cystic acne on my chin and jaw and Curology totally cleared it up. I no longer use the product but my skin NEVER breaks out anymore

I SOOOO recommend this brand them giving out free samples just shows how confident they are and how much they really care about reviews! I've had acne since I was 9 years old! I'm 20 now and FOR YEARS I was so clueless on what to use and just wasted so much money. At one point I thought I knew what I was doing but as u get older ur hormones changes so I was sad to switch up my skincare AGAIN AND AGAIN! With CUROLOGY my skin has looked soooo freaking good AND I literally have no more acne anymore, I could cryyyy from tears of happiness. I don't wake up anymore being stressed out that a new pimple showed up on my face again. NOPE I wake up and admire my new clear skin, even with my period I get 0 acne. This is all from only 2 MONTHS of using this. Yes it's a bit pricey, but it's way better than wasting ur money on something that doesn't work or makes ur skin looks worse. Also acne is in my genes which makes it harder to get rid off COMPLETELY but to find a brand that DID GET RID OF IT COMPLETELY this is why I recommend this product so much. ALSO IF YOUR FORMULA ISNT WORKING FOR U ASK TO CHANGE THE FORMULA.

I had the same experience. I used to breakout occasionally and they prescribed 2% salicylic acid and all it did was make my skin super dry and flaky after using it for 2 weeks. I used to have normal/combo skin. It’s been several months and I still have dry & sensitive skin now.

Trina Ghosh I’ve worked with much stronger treatments (Epiduo prescription) and it’s always recommended to not use it every day and to use less than you think you really need. I’ve used Curology as well and did this method and found similar results to my harsh prescription treatment, though I do have oily skin. Maybe give it (or any other treatment you use in the future) some time and ease your skin into this new regimen?

I have been using curology for almost a solid two years and it is the ONLY thing I have found that works for me! I have always had acne, but when I started college is was the worst it had ever been (full face, even neck) so I tried curology on a whim and boy am I glad. Even though the dermatologist curology connects you with works for them, mine has reccomended all kinds of products outside of their brand from cleanser to moisturizer. I have even sent her photos of some of the products I use to get her opinion. Curology really is a company that cares about people! Love them!!!

I LOVE my Curology! Only issue is me not using the entire prescription in two months, but running out of the face wash. I get so many compliments. Not only has my acne gone down after three months (noticing change after the first few weeks even), but my skin is g l o w i n g! I love it so much. Definitely worth the $60 every two months. I tried curology and saw some improvement in my breakouts in the first couple weeks.....and then it straight up ruined my skin. It became so dry and tight and inflamed around my nose and mouth. My acne resurfaced, but now I had inflamed, pealing skin along with it. It was painful to the touch. I tried to stick it out in the hopes that my skin was just going through an adjustment period and that it would get better again. It never got better. I stopped using their products two months ago, and I'm still trying to repair the damage. I wish I had never tried this product. I love that they offer clean products and a tailored skincare plan and I'm glad some people have seen good results with this skincare brand. Unfortunately I am not one of those people.

As cliche as it sounds, I legit tried everything and any brand but nothing worked. I decided to give Curology a go as a last resort, and I cannot be happier with the results. Amazing product. I also asked my curology specialist what products she recommends for my skin- such as daily cleansers and moisturizers- that would also work in unison with the curology treatment... and boy did this woman come through! She listed our about 20 different products all ranging in price, that I could choose from. She also told me which cleansers that I was already using, to stay away from and why. Great product and great service. I've recommended it to about 6 of my friends and they're happy with it too.

Curology totally cleared my skin! I just get the treatment though, and I use my own cleanser and moisturizer. The cleanser and moisturizer they prescribe is the same for everyone!! The only custom thing is the treatment, so that’s what I get 👍🏻👍🏻

I had a similar concern about the amount of plastic being used and so I had to look it up and ask my provider and I learned that each of the bottles are recyclable so long as you rinse out the inside of the prescription bottle and knowing this helped ease my mind a bit

I used curology for about a year for my acne and my initial experience was really great. my skin became much clearer, softer, and healthier. However, as I use it longer, my formula started to not affect my skin anymore. Even when I contacted my provider to see if we could change the formula, the new formula wouldn’t work. They kept recommending me to purchase other products to use with my curology yet the other products didn’t work either. I didn’t want to keep purchasing other products in addition to the curology i was paying for every single month. Similar to how you said that curology shouldn’t label themselves as dermatologists, curology didn’t have a great enough range of resources to tackle every skincare issue. After I ended my subscription to curology, I went to visit a dermatologists and their range of resources were truly enough to deal with every skin concern

I just started using Curology and I am already seeing results just a few weeks in. I completely agree with Hyram. I really love this product and think it’s totally worth the price but I absolutely loathe the packaging, it’s terrible for the environment and very wasteful. I’m still trying to figure out the best way to crack open my “empty” bottles to see how much is left. I really really hope they find a better container for the product that isn’t so harmful to the environment! That being said I love this product so much and I will continue using it and hope to inspire more people to convince curology to create a more eco friendly container !

IF ANYONE NEW IS WATCHING THIS VIDEO***** i’m not sure if everyone realizes this or not, but if you’re using Curology for acne (or thinking about it), KEEP IN MIND that it WILL take a few months to purge your skin and for it to adjust!!! i had the absolute WORST hormonal acne literally all over my face and NOTHING helped, until Curology. the first month or so, while it was purging, my skin was definitely at its worst. but that just means the medication is doing it’s job. two/three months in i barely recognized my skin, i didn’t have a single pimple. i’ve been using curology for about a year now and my skin is still doing amazing. this shit is definitely worth it.
