Instead of having paid Allure/Cosmopolitan for years to get on their “best of skincare” lists, they should have invested in re formulating and adapting to a chemical exfoliant which is the market right now.

My face lights up right away once I've washed my face using riceeberry face wash from litttleextra. Then, I use simply Vitamin C serum and moisturiser, and it is done. It's important to choose the right face wash otherwise you won't see the glow you're aiming for.

This riceberryy face wash is highly effective for dry skin. From the first use, I noticed benefits in my face, such as acne reduction. It is effective when paired with a moisturiser.

Because the idea that green = good and red = bad is completely arbitrary. It's not written in stone, it's just commonly used but there's no objective reason why these colours should represent these exact things.

I've been using curology since December and I think the best thing about it is that it helped me build a consistent routine that I didn't have before. Spot on description about The Ordinary products, their approach also push people to understand more about ingredients, which is a good thing too
@sugarxsnap
@sugarxsnap 2 жыл бұрын
Your complaint about The Ordinary is specifically the reason I LOVE The Ordinary. I find that so few basic products (cleansers, toners, moisturizers, etc.) actually target my problem areas, or they do it too harshly. But TO's simplistic "supplemental" approach is what allows me to use them in combination with gentle basics (like CeraVe). This means I don't have to worry about destroying my moisture barrier with a cleanser, because I can add a gentle exfoliant or treatment into my routine, and cease use whenever my skin needs a break or I wish to target a more prominent skincare concern... Without needing to find a whole new cleanser. I absolutely love this approach to skincare. The Ordinary is so versatile and, in my opinion, offers more than MOST brands in terms of treatments for problem skin. Just look at their line of Vitamin C products, or Retinol, or Salicylic Acid -- there's no one size fits all. They specifically create multiple products to appeal to all sorts of different skintypes, preferences, and sensitivities. If product A doesn't suit Suzy but suits Jenny, product B might work better for Suzy than it does Jenny.... And Laura who finds product A and B not effective, well she thinks product C is her Holy Grail. Sorry... I'm not a fangirl. I'm actually quite new to The Ordinary... Or, rather, jumped on rather late anyway. But in many ways I think they're *under* rated. Or under appreciated, I should say. That's saying a lot, seeing as I typically steer CLEAR of 'trending' and viral products and brands. (Sorry Glow Recipe, Claudalie, and YTTP.)

There is a benefit to it being tested on animals (although lots of cons.) If it’s tested on animals and it harms the animal then there’s a chance that you probably shouldn’t use it on your self, definitely shouldn’t use it on an animal, and do not use it on a baby. Most things toxic to animals are going to be toxic to babies (chocolate is severely toxic to human babies, just as it is toxic to animals.)
@joanna0988
@joanna0988 Жыл бұрын
@@-..l Why can't we test on healthy adults? Plus most things they use nowadays they already know how it effects people. The only reason some major companies still do animal testing is because China requires it for a product to be sold in their country and that's a big market so greed is the biggest factor not human safety. Also chocolate is not toxic to babies, it's not advisable for them to eat it but it won't hurt them like it would hurt a dog.
@-..l
@-..l Жыл бұрын
@@joanna0988 Pretty sure people do test on healthy adults, and that is how they get most of their results. Certain supplies that can be used for both human and animal use, are obviously tested on both humans and animals. Chocolate is toxic to every animal, including humans. However, we humans can process chocolate easily which is why you aren’t effected by chocolate. If you ate a crap ton of chocolate every day, then you’ll be poisoning yourself. Theobromine, the main ingredient of chocolate, is what makes the chocolate toxic. Babies and toddlers are less capable of properly metabolizing certain foods, thus why they get sick quicker from digesting certain toxic foods. Chocolate is one of these toxic foods. No it is not going to immediately make your child sick unless you give your child chocolate very often, especially natural chocolate (the ones that have Theobromine) Large amounts of chocolate can and will have similar effect on a baby as it would to a dog, minus the quick death. A baby won’t die from chocolate, but it’ll likely get very sick.

I love your videos because I learn without having to waste money on products that don't work. I have always struggled with cystic acne but also have sensitive skin so a lot of the products that clear up my acne will irritate my skin and dry it out. I just turned 40 so now I'm really concerned about signs of aging. Fine lines, discoloration, dullness, etc. Wish I had someone like you to help me create an epic skincare routine!!! ❤ Thanks for teaching me 🙌😘 now I'm 40 and also

The Ordinary has transformed my skin to the point that my actual dermatologist asked me what I have been doing for my skin to look this good. The fact that Hyram thinks that you should have a complete routine (including cleanser and sunscreen, which seems to be his only reason pretty much that he thinks it is “complimentary to a regimen” than a perfect skin line) is sooooo old school and outdated. Like those old ladies that had to be “i am a Clinique/Estee Lauder/La Prairie/whatever girl” 🙄 Who, like literally WHO, that knows about and researches skincare doesn’t pick and choose gems from different brands to build their own perfect regimen? Like... gurl.

I think it’s been said multiple times before, but a Korean skincare version of this list would be great for the Asian subscribers! I would love a rank of all the popular brands like Innisfree, Etude House, Klairs, SomeByMi, Benton, IUNIK, Neogen etc. Most of the brands mentioned in this video are really expensive in Asia (& some not even available) while Korean skincare brands are more affordable & easy to get ahold of. Looking at the reviews on my local online skincare stores tells me that a majority of ppl watch Hyram lol, so give the audience what they want 😉

So I am 27 years old and I've had acne since literally the first grade. Proactive worked for a bit and then it just...quit working? I have EXTREMELY oily skin and large pores and on a whim ordered curology and it was one of the best decisions of my life. It's a personalized formula and the ingredients are not something you find in drug store products. I am one of those people you talked about who do not like to do research on my products so I didn't even know that these ingredients existed. It really has been transformative for me. And I'm so glad to see that you like it. My only complaint is that I can't buy 20 bottles of the cleanser at 1 time.

Nope. Alcohols are not all bad. I know Hyram preached about avoiding alcohols, but he ain't a cosmetics chemist. Alcohols can act as delivery agents, solvent for active ingredients and plant extracts. Some may have stinging sensation upon application of products with alcohol but that doesn't reflect what's happening on the skin physically, unless the skin is damaged. Lastly, not all alchols are the same. Take glycerin as an example. It is a type of alcohol, but it acts as a humectant for the skin. Hyram is a great skincare enthusiast, but I'd take his advice with a grain of salt anyway.

curology is what got me into skincare. I was tired of always having acne & my hyperpigmentation & I didn't know much about skincare, plus i couldn't afford to go to a dermatologist so I decided to try curology & was subscribed for almost a year. It did its job controlling my acne & helped a little with my dark spots enough for me to gain an interest in skincare & start doing my own research/making up my own skincare routine. so thanks curology for starting me up on my journey to clear & healthy skin. ☺️

Now. I'll tolerate it. Meh. Finish & Recycle. For the feet. Some people have already commented the ratings for each product but I personally could not find a comment with time stamps (probably because I didn't dig deep enough through the 7600 comments). Sorry if someone else has already commented this.

Watching this in 2023… i love paula’s choice and never heard you talk about it until now! Im glad to hear it’s hyram approved… that means A LOT! So I’m glad I use these products!!!! It’s crazy because i used to use ole Henderson sheer transformation and it used to be my go to! Then i took a break and it came back to it and it was soooooo bad!
