David all of these extra statistics are from I have found not extremely accurate. So being honest I have no idea how the scale calculates a lot of said bonus statistics.

No scale will be accurate in body fat % etc... You can spend $5000 and you still won't get it accurately lol.

Garmin appears to have addressed these issues in their firmware updates now. Even the Vivosmart 4 tracker has had many firmware impovements to make it better. It shows they care about their products, and at the asking price, consumers demand quality. It's December 2019, and these scales are $187 in Australia.

I just bought the scale at the TCS NYC Marathon Expo at the Jacob Javits Center. I cannot get it to sync. I have another scale with the same promises which cost about $50 from Target. Buyers remorse is quickly growing.

Think the withings body cardio is more accurate, have both, and the withings gives far more constant results. Sometimes the Garmin is spot on, other times .2 difference and the odd time have to weight myself twice on the Garmin as it at times .5 difference, weigh myself again and its Inline with my withings.

Any tips for different users? Whenever my husband or my kids step in the scale it throws off my average weight by A LOT! Lol. There are no buttons on it and I haven’t figured out how to change users.

I would like this scale, but yes the price, is pretty expensive. In DK $165, and yes, when other brands, offer almost same specs, for much better prices, its expensive to get that data in my connect app. I know its not possible to have an device, that cant measure everything other than weight, accuracy. But all other measuremenst is maybe not correct, but as long, I can use it , indicative, as a "zero point" it should be okay, just to have an idea, which way my health is going. I totally respect it I actually now use a much cheaper scale and brand as I only need it for estimates of the additional data, if I was interested in super accurate BF, water, bone density, and so on I would have to get it tested by a professional. Garmin Connect is garbage. I purchased a brand new bike with a co-branded Garmin/Cannondale speed sensor and I was never able to get the sensor to connect to the app - same problem you’re having. Maybe Garmin will connect (the dots) some day when people stop buying their underperforming, overpriced products.

Operator error. lol You should really research before you throw them under the bus. It's supposed to be linked with the Cannondale app, not the Garmin app. Have you ever used speed/cadence sensors? My Garmin speed/cadence sensors are linked to my watch, not the app....]

Matt Ziggy I don’t think it’s operator error. I’ve been building my own PCs and working in electronics and all types of tech gadgets for nearly 30 years now. Regardless of whether or not I’m too stupid to get it to work (which I am not), it should not be such a challenge. I’ve since replaced the sensor with a Wahoo Elemnt including speed and cadence sensors which I was able to link to the main unit within 3 seconds each and work flawlessly. Did I mention that I DID have the Garmin/Cannondale speed sensor working at first? That’s right. I had it working until the app told me I needed a firmware update and I allowed it. From that point on, it has never reconnected. Even the bike mechanics at the pro bike shop where I bought the bike have no idea how to get it to work. So, no, I don’t think “user error” is a factor in this case.

fyi, birds making noises in the background is very annoying and distracting, i'd recommend doing the review inside next time
